My 2.5 year old son has been using this potty since around 18 months. The seat is porous, it absorbs the pee and the stench of pee. It cannot be cleaned! It cannot be soaked in cleaner. It is totally gross. It makes the entire bathroom smell and it shouldn't be sold. I can't imagine the amount of germs in it. You also can't ring the soft seat out. Do yourself a favor, get a hard seat that can be cleaned properly.

I really do HATE this potty chair. It has been the core of all my training stress. After 2 days of my 2yr son using it he has a horrible rash in the shape of the seat (and he's not even prone to rashes). The seat does not fit him at all. Every time he sits down i have to push his boy part down under the protecter thing for him. He hasn't used it all that much yet and the seat is already absorbing what little liquid there has been. so i can image why ppl say it smells after awhile. Do not waste your money on this potty. It's horrible!!

I never write reviews but I will start. I have twins a boy and girl and a boy and this is one of the worst products I have purchased. 1st: It doesn't work with boys. When my son sits his little [*] gets stuck, he practicly doesn't fit it and he is tiny 2 1/2 year old, they foam part has a feature that is suppose to protect pee from flying out, well it doesn't work cause it practicly blocks the boys part.2nd: The lid constantly closes on his back and hurts him. Really don't waste your money. I bought it cause it was cheaper that the rest but I know why! READ REVIEWS- I didn't before I wasted my money and I regret it. oh and also it is quite big and bulky so I don't understand why it doesn't fit with my petite son.

The potty is great - except my daughter seems to be allergic to the cushy part! I've been using it about a week, and she's had such a bad rash. I believe it's made out of latex, so beware if you think that your child might have allergies to it. I didn't know she was, and I am now trying to contact the company to see if there's something that can be used as a cover, or just a different cushy part.

Other than that - it's been great. Easy to clean (but have not gotten any messes on the cushy part yet), and my daughter enjoys going potty. Would recommend.

I never write reviews but feel that on this product I should. I agree with most of the reviews. While I have not yet had a problem with the smell, I have noticed that urine collects under the foam seat. Also the product frequently slides causing the lid to hit my son in the back. It also seems like the size of the opening is small. It works better as a stool than a potty.

I bought this potty interested in the features. My child uses it really well, but it scoots back as we sit him on it and the lid either closes or hits him in the back. The other thing is if you get one little tear in the foam seat (which is really easy to do), it soaks up everything and you can't get it clean.

I was puzzled over the rash on my daughter's bottom--I noticed it was in the shape of this potty seat. I figured out the absorbant cushion was holding bacteria and causing a rash. All of these reviews are correct. The cushion absorbs urine and eventually becomes moldy and unusable.

Great seat at first. Then son started pulling back the "cup" portion of the cushion. Next thing you know it is ripped. Great height and is great for a stool- again poorly planned.

I received this for my daughter's first birthday. it was great a first. but i have this in my bathroom with my washer and dryer. with the shower moisture the comfy seat holds moisture and mold formed in the seat. My daughter has a nasty rash on her bottom from the seat. It is the shape of the seat. I am sure I do not have to tell any parent how horrible it is when your child has a rash. I would not recommend this to anyone and anyone with this potty should toss it.
