I wish we had read reviews befor putting this on our list. I pulled it out a couple of weeks ago to try and train our 20 month old son. As soon as he sat on it (which he loved) I could see that he just wouldnt fit with it. There was no way he was going to be using this and not pee all over the floor.

We started Elimination Communication with our son when he was 2 1/2 weeks old and started using this seat on the big potty with him facing backward when he was 4 weeks old and facing forward when he was 12 weeks old. 4 months later, he is still using every day and we love it (and mostly that he is clean and using many fewer diapers). The small seat size works great for him, he is comfortable on it, the shield keeps p's in the potty, and it is easy for an adult to hold him on. We regularly clean the foam seat ring and plastic holder with soap and Clorox wipes and have not had any issues with odor or absorbing liquids. We use the potty chair part as a seat for the adult to sit on while holding the baby on his seat on the big potty. We only use the bucket in the whole potty (lined with a plastic grocery bag for easy clean-up) when we're in the car and baby needs to go (it's easier and cleaner than changing stations in public rest rooms).

My daughter loves this seat. After each use she turns on the water to rinse off the ring and we rinse out the bowl. I have NEVER had this potty smell or have water come out of the ring. We leave the lid open most of the time, maybe that's why. Anyway, we LOVE it! Worked/Works great!

The idea of this potty is right on track with the size and style. As far as the seat goes I figured the cushioned seat would be more comfortable and it was, however the cleaning of this seat is next to impossible. After every use I would wipe the seat down with an antibacterial wipe and at the end of the day I would give the thing a good scrub down. After about a week I notice that the seat had a constant bad odor, and the seat would never totally dry out. Every time my son sat down water would surface and really smell. We went on vacation for a few days and when we came back to use the potty I lifted the lid and about threw up. I removed the sponge-like seat and the entire bottom of the seat was covered in white mold. I strongly recommend if you are considering this potty to not get it. The idea is good the product is bad. I have already told all of my friends who are starting to potty train to avoid this seat. I am a very clean person and tend to over clean things, even with my obsessive cleaning this toilet still was far from ever getting clean.

Very comfortable potty for the child... but the seat cushion is terrible. Had to throw it away after a few months and will never buy it again... unless the cushion will be made from different, non-absorbing material.

This Potty works great as a step stool, however with a little boy there is still some leakage, and unfortunately the cushy seat absorbes the pee. I rinse the seat everytime and wash it down frequently with a strong bathroom cleaner but it still stinks. Would not recommend this potty.

I have a 2 year old son and I do not think this potty is the right choice for boys, the splah guard leaks and the foam ring absorbs the pee and the water and smells really, really BAD!! I hate the foam ring!!!
I can not get rid of the smell, no matter what cleaning product I use.
I 'm very dissatisfied with this product.

I bought this potty for my daughter because it is the only small one I found that was cushioned. Those hard potty seats just look too darn uncomfortable!!!

We love this potty. It's easy to clean, and as I said, has the soft cushion to sit on.

The only problem is the cushioned seat I love so much. I would soak the cushion and bucket in water a couple times a week. Then the cushion started to crack. Water got in those cracks, and it just fell apart from there. They don't offer just a replacement cushion, so we had to buy a whole new potty, and now I just wipe the cushion down instead of soaking it. One year later, we are still using this potty. :)

I've been using the potty for about 2 months and my daughter is making great progress (she's only 21 months!). It seems comfy enough, but I've recently noticed the ring just doesn't get clean! I turn it over and noticed a yellow ring. I clean with warm soapy water each time and nothing changes. Now I see most people are experiencing the same thing. Ugh. My daughter loves the stepstool aspect and uses it to reach the sink. Just wish I could get the ring clean. It is not smelling up the bathroom like another reviewer said.

My 22 month old daughter has been using this potty and so far there isn't anything bad about it! It is very easy to clean and the seat doesn't seem to be holding any fluid. We love it and am very happy with the purchase!
