Ok so my 8 month old son came down with a pretty nasty cold last week! He has been coughing, wheezing, and has a really snotty nose...I was using the hospital bulb syringe to suck out the snot but he was freaking out and wouldnt let me effectively do it...So I bought this battery operated "booger sucker" (as I call it lol)...Well the first time I tried it, I was so disappointed! The little collection chamber was empty and I still heard the snot in his nose! I was so mad....and then I remembered what the doctor told me to do when my son had RSV at 5 weeks old...They said to cover one nostril while you suck out the other and vise versa....So I did that with the NasalClear! I NEVER thought that a baby could have soooooooo much mucus in their nose! It actually filled the clear collection chamber about half way! My son hated it and screamed the whole time but what child likes ANYTHING (but their finger (yuck)) up their nose! It has a little music player on it to distract them but he didnt like that either! It is the best thing that I could have EVER purchased! If you do purchase it...to use it cover one nostril for about 5 seconds while sucking the other and then release that nostril...do that on the same side about 4-5 times and then switch to the other nostril and do the same thing! If your child is sick, you will be so shocked to see how much snot is up there!!! It also comes with a fatter tip for older children! I even used it on myself =) and it worked!!! I hope this helps atleast one person out there who has a sick child and if so, I really hope this works for you!

It is a great concept but falls short on delivery. I found it very easy to clean; however, after you put it back together, the attachment doesn't stay flush to the motor/handle. Therefore, it losses its suction very easily. It would work fine on a very small baby who doesn't have head control yet but an older baby, who can turn his/her head to avoid discomfort, will knock that attachment just enough to render this product unusable.

This is my second, the first one is "out of order" due to a missing rubber ring (take care of this!!). Is perfect for its function. Even I've bought one as a gift for a friend of mine. I highly recomend this ítem.

Must Buy - Easiest Nasal Aspirator EVER

Comments about Peter J. Listro Associate Graco NasalClear Battery Operated Nasal Aspirator:

When my son had his first cold, it was terribly frustrating trying to clear his nose with the traditional bulb aspirator. They just don't work that well.

I was so desperate to give him relief that I bought both the Nosefrida (aka booger straw) AND the Graco NasalClear. Hands down - this is the BEST aspirator ever.

The NasalCear provides gentle, continuous suction with soft silicon tips that give a little extra comfort to my baby. My son likes the vibration, so he doesn't cry when I use it on him - but it also plays nursery songs just in case you need additional help calming baby down.

The product is also easy to clean and maintain. Unlike a bulb aspirator, you can actually see that everything has been cleaned out of the NasalClear. And unlike the NoseFrida (which is really awkward to use), there's no need to buy replacement filters.

If you decide to buy this product, I highly recommend using it in conjuction with saline drops and purchasing the extra silicon tips. The optional tips come in different sizes to ensure a good fit with your baby's nose.

*One of the tips are pretty long. It works best clearing my son's nose, but I caution that all parents should use common sense and not put it too far up your baby's nose. Luckily, I haven't had any accidents using it, but it was the first thing I noticed when I opened the package (so be gentle!).

All-in-all, it's a great product that works. I highly recommend this to all parents!

The suction power helped clear my daughter's nasal passage on a everyday basis and worked even better when she was sick. Because it cleared her so effectively, her recovery time for the common cold was always cut in half. It's not pretty to look at when the job is done but I prefer it in the cup than my baby's body :)

my 2 month old had a cold and so much stuff stuck in his nose all the time. The regular bulb works okay but my son gets annoyed at it. So I bought this one and tried it and with all my might nothing would get sucked up. I do appreciate the music though. After seeing my husband in such congested agony I gave it to him to try and it worked great.

I have an 11 month old who has been suffering from a runny nose for a long while. He wakes up at night because he can't breathe for the mucus. I have tried the nasal bulbs, but they only work for a few minutes and then the mucus starts flowing again. I tried this product last night. He didn't like it (I don't think any child likes being restrained to have their face cleaned, plus the device has a 'buzz to it so I don't think he liked the strong vibr'ation), but once it was over, there was no more mucus, and the best part about it, he slept all night! :-D
We finally found something that works!
