Comments about Kidco Babysteps Electric Food Mill:

From the time my little one was 6 months old until she could eat off the table, I used this mill. It is a great, economical, and healthy way to make your own baby food.

My ONLY complaint is that the lid would often be difficult to remove if we put hot items into the cup. Other than that - it was perfect.

We tell all our friends about this product and will continue to do so.

Disappointing
By Lia'sMomVerified Buyer from Alexandria, VA on 9/10/2009
Pros:
Easy To Clean, Easy To Use
Cons:
Inefficient
Best Uses:
Infants, Meals
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Kidco Babysteps Electric Food Mill:

I bought this b/c I found my regular food processor was too big for the small amounts of puree I wanted to make for my daughter. This product, despite being smaller, still does not puree small amounts of food. I guess the blades are too short, I don't know. I had to mash food by hand to get it small enough after I had used the processor. It also only has two speeds- regular and turbo. It is easy to clean though.

Love it.
By Boston Mom from Boston, MA on 8/14/2009
Pros:
Compact, Easy To Clean, Easy To Use, Portable
Best Uses:
Crawlers, Meals, Snacks, Toddlers
Describe Yourself:
First Time Parent
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Kidco Babysteps Electric Food Mill:

Really like this - so much easier to clean than our big blender/food processor. We still grab it at least once a week to make up a single serve smoothie, or to dice up some extra veggies, even though our "baby" is almost two. Basically, perfect for small jobs, and useful long after baby has graduated to table food.

I have used the product once & I plan to return it. It was very easy to use, but save your money & just use a regular blender or your current food processor.. this product is no different.

Comments about Kidco Babysteps Electric Food Mill:

I used this product today for the first time after I decided to give my LO healthy homemade foods. I first tried using our small kitchen food processor...it took a lot of time and after straining, I had to throw out half the carrots because it did not puree it fine enough. I decided to buy this instead of the super expensive french version of the same thing..and i must say I am extremely happy with the results.

Not only it made perfect puree...it was quick too. I also love the turbo setting for a quick blending. This product has motivated me to keep up with homemade foods and make sure that i wont loose hope dealing with jarred foods and expensive blenders.

Kudos to kidco for making it super easy for us moms!!

Pros:
Compact
Cons:
Hard to clean
Best Uses:
Meals
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:

Comments about Kidco Babysteps Electric Food Mill:

It is difficult to get the lid on and off. Currently the lid is stuck since it got misaligned when putting the lid on. You have to align it just right. The blades are very sharp, so be careful when assembling/disassembling.

DO NOT BUY - buy a blender instead. This broke after the 2nd use on VERY soft yams. What a WASTE!

Comments about Kidco Babysteps Electric Food Mill:

I use this to make food for my triplets. Purees everything that I have tried to make. The lid can get stuck on if it isn't put on correctly...but now that I know that it is not a problem. I have been using it for 2 1/2 months and am happy with it.

Not worth the money!
By Jen of Twins from Detroit, MI on 5/26/2009
Pros:
Easy To Clean, Portable
Cons:
Not Durable
Describe Yourself:
Parent of Multiples (Twins etc)
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Kidco Babysteps Electric Food Mill:

I never complain about products but this was the worst! The lid cracked after only a few uses and then the motor went and i always added way TOO much water so food was always watered down just so the motor could handle it. Its so not worth the money. Buy a regular food processor!

Not what I expected
By organic momma from Greenville, SC on 5/7/2009
Pros:
Easy To Use
Best Uses:
Toddlers
Describe Yourself:
First Time Parent
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Kidco Babysteps Electric Food Mill:

I was disappointed to find that this is more like a food processor in that it only chops the food into smaller pieces and not into a puree that my 4 month old needs. I don't really need another food processor in my kitchen.
