This is a Christmas gift for a 4 yr. old.
The construction is of wood and very durable.
Things that we've ordered in the past that are Melissa & Doug are a little bit more expensive than others brands (if there are any) but the construction is alway better and the item is always well received. It's worth the little bit more.

Two of my children are of learning-to-tie age. So far one has almost learned to tie with this shoe and she's only tried a few times. I'd recommend it for sure!

I used this product to help encourage my daughter to learn how to tie her own shoes. She also uses it to play the "Old woman who lived in a shoe" games.

This is the PERFECT way to help your children learn how to tie their shoes. There are instructions on the bottom & with a little guidance, BOTH of my children were able to do it & were so excited & proud of themselves!

I picked this up because I thought that the shoe was really cute and looked funny. My kids are too young to use it now, so I'm keeping it till Christmas. Adorable and very good quality.

My daughter is now learning how to tie her shoelaces and this has been great. Very colorful and the quality is so great that I think my younger son will be able to use it.

This is a really great item..I bought it for my daughter and for my childrens shop...really cute and fun to teach children how to tie their shoes...not too heavy and not too light for children of this age...
