used it in a band, used it for recording acoustic guitar and vocals, worked fine, not a bad mic by any means but the other reviews said it was professional equipment and i wanted to clear that up for future buyers. its a first act microphone, that says enough. great to start out with but you get what you pay for. you would never, ever find this mic in a professional studio regardless of other reviews. that is just preposterous. But i would recommend it as a first microphone.

The mic is a solid KIDS MIC NOT A PRO MIC ! If you are looking for something professional, spend the money and get a condenser microphone. My kids bought this mic and brought it into my studio to use, and wound up dissapointed, as the mic has A LOT of line noise.

Our new quintet needed microphones for our performances at nursing homes. We perform every other month, and truly have no funds for equipment. These mikes work as advertised. We can adjust the volume, have them in close proximity to each other without feedback. We are delighted.

cord broke in 3 days, bought new cord from music store- then microphone broke. better off staying away from first act. go to a music store and buy a 'nady' or some other low end music store item and they do better.

This is good for a kid looking for fun to go with that first act giutar for Cristmas, but if they are very serious about their music and are a little older than say, 3-8, then go to a higher quality mic. I reccomend [@], the center for all musical instruments and various price ranges.
