Expandable Design for Doorways, Hallways, and Stairs
The gate stands 29.5 inches tall. It can expand from 28 to 32 inches, or up to 39 inches with use of the two included 3.5-inch extensions. This gate can also expand up to 188 inches with purchase of larger extensions (each sold separately). Mounting cups are mandatory for top of stair use
Automatically Closes and Locks
The safety gate meets the needs of active parents and caregivers by making it easy to keep your child and pets in one area without limiting your own mobility. The gate swings open smoothly in both directions, then automatically closes and locks to allow parents carrying children to enter and exit with ease. A lower latch provides additional security.
One-Hand Operation with Double-Locking System
This safety gate can be operated with one hand, making it easy for parents to move in and out of the room. Simply slide the button on the top to unlock, pull up, and step through. The gate also has a double locking system with mechanisms at the top and bottom to ensure children or pets don't push their way past.
Quick and Easy Installation
Installation is simple and takes just minutes to complete. Measure the doorway or opening you want to close off, insert the gate, and tighten the knobs until the latch is secure. This gate also comes with a handy installation DVD.
Woodwork and Wall Installation
In most cases, it's not necessary to screw holes into woodwork or walls to secure the gate. The gate's pressure mounting system and double-sided tape strips help hold the gate in place without damaging woodwork or painted walls. Other adaptors accommodate banisters and railings (each sold separately).
