This toy has a pretty sturdy design. It was very easy to put together. The handles and spout are a realistic metal colored plastic with hot and cold markers. It is light enough for my two year old to carry around. It is very cute. She has a lot of fun washing her dishes and baby dolls in it and so far it stands up to her dragging all over the house. My only complaint is that the entire Rose Petal collection is so tiny. I don't think it will last for years to come - my daughter will outgrow it too quickly. It looks like it's for an 18 month old. It is good as a starter kitchen toy.

My 3 year old loves her cottage, sink & oven. She will be getting the washing machine for her birthday. I like the fact that these toys are small, lightweight, easy to assemble and MAKE NO NOISE. They are 100% imagination-powered! I do feel however that they are a bit overpriced. To those parents who are upset that they shelled out so much money for the WHOLE set . . . next time, try buying one at a time. It's better for your wallets & for your kids.

Our kids have great imaginations and they just love the sink in addition to the stove that came with their cottage. It's just the right size for the cottage, it's durable and very cute. Our kids love to pretend to wash their hands and dishes with this. The hot & cold knobs really turn and that's more than you get on some pretend sinks.

It's very cheep, not sturdy at all! It's also very small, you would think it would be bigger in size and be better quality for [$]. But that's how all the rose petal products are! Wish I would have seen a sample set up b/f I spent all that I did buy everything to go w/ the cottage.

We bought this for my 3 year old and she loves it. We bought the whole set and even though it is a little pricey for a toy, it is definitely worth it. Each piece is very sturdy yet light enough for her to move around. It was all pretty easy to assemble too. I hesitated before buying this because some of the reviews weren't great, but it is the next best thing to a real wooden playhouse (and hundreds of dollars cheaper)!!!
