Does not work well on grass when it is not perfectly flat. Does fine on gravel and pavement. Probably wouldn't buy again.

"Santa" got this for our 4 year old granddaughter and it was her favorite present! Good thing we got it early because it took Grandpa a couple of evenings to get it together! The only "bad" thing about the Jeep is that the toy radio plays irritating music and there is no "off" button! It does eventually quit on it's own. Our granddaughter LOVES driving it and it is big enough she will enjoy it for a long time!

Assembly time is about 60 minutes, give or take on your personal skill level. Only a few tricky parts to the build process (steering column and seat belts were tricky). The decal sheet has the HEADLIGHTS and FOG LIGHTS backwards!! So, just flip flop the stickers for the lights. Battery takes 18 hours to charge for first time, but says not to overcharge (30 hours max).....so allow time for charging before initial run.
**The "radio" plays music, but its not a FM radio. Its just preloaded radio with some tunes to jam when driving. Its cute....and LOUD.
The jeep seems well built, looks very cute and I am sure my 3yr old daughter will love it!
**As far as traction goes, again the tires are plastic....so I suggest getting some BLACK GRIP TAPE (used on skateboards, decks, stairs) from Home Depot/Lowes/etc and apply a few strips to the tires for extra grip on grass. That should do the trick!

I bought the Barbie Jammin Jeep for my daughter in June of 2009 and ever since, she has loved every minute of it! She loves taking her friends and stuffed animals for a cruise with the radio blaring or even just sittin in it, not moving and just relaxing to some tunes! I can't think of ANY suggestions that would make it any better except maybe put an actual, real working CD player in it or an MP3 player or even an ipod port. Maybe sell an optional wagon to go along with it? If there is one already, I don't know about it. Another thing you could do is make an option to upgrade the power so as to make it faster for when your child gets older and more experienced at driving.

Rides great on both concrete, asphalt and grass. Easy set up, except the #4 lights go on the front and the #2 lights go on the light bar on top of the jeep. Also one last thing, not that Toys R Us is a bad company, they just write descriptions before looking at the product. Anyone that does buy this, confirm the batteries you need. It says 4 "C" on their description, but the product really needs three "AA", so that was a waste of an additional [$].

Ad says play radio-ours has a real FM radio. My daughter LOVES having a 'real' radio! Could use more grip for damp grass when in low gear, but otherwise no problems. As soon as my daughter learned to not stop in a recessed area in low gear (with damp grass)-no more gripping issues (although rubber tires, or rubber tire bands would be nice). No problem with grip in high gear. Ours has the auto-brake function, which works very well; battery charge lasts a long, long time! Jeep also does very well, with no decrease at all in performance, pulling the weight of both my daughter and her friend- a combined 70 lbs (limit=130), and it has pulled me and my daughter together, however, size of seat kinda negates that :). If you can buy the same version we have, as it appears there are two--the other having a play radio (even looks different in pic of radio) and the 'auto-brake' fuction, I would very highly recommend! Although we paid a decent price for her jeep, it has been absolutely worth it. She's had it 1.5 yrs, with no problems so far whatsoever. She has thoroughly enjoyed driving,and has become quite skilled at it!

I did my research and it paid off. This is a very good product in all ways. You can't go wrong with this jeep. My twin 3 year old girls love it!
Make sure you allow the full 18 hours to charge the battery and an hour or so for assembly.

We got this jeep for my 2 and 5 year old daughters for Christmas. My 5 year old drives it and my 2 year old is in control of the radio. The jeep drives really good on all terrain even through mud puddles. My daughter loves running over curbs and taking it places where they bounce around in it. The battery seems to hold up pretty well although we weren't prepared for the initial 18 hours it needed to charge when you first plug it in. It probably took my husband about an hour to assemble. My kids sometimes have trouble getting in because they don't open the doors first. And the steering is a little stiff so it's hard for my 2 year old to steer.. All in all I am happy with this purchase so far!
