i bought the entire set to go with this mobile and the mobile is the only thing i am taking back. one of the animals is too big and the mobile gets stuck. its cute and the music is very nice but only plays for one minute so i would recommend NOT even leaving the room because you have the constantly crank it. i am bringing it back asap because if i don't this cheap thing will break and i won't be able to !

This is really a general gripe about wind-up mobiles in general, which is why I'm giving three stars instead of one. My son absolutely LOVES this mobile...while it's spinning. If it spun for more than about 90 seconds, that would be okay. As it is, it entertains him long enough for me to leave the room and wash my hands after a diaper change and that's about it.

As wind-up mobiles go, it's great. But if you have a baby that doesn't like to lay and stare at immobile objects, I wouldn't recommend getting a wind-up mobile.

My daughter loves this but gets so frustrated when it stops. Only plays for 1 minute!! Really? I don't have the time to keep turning it on every minute :(

Calling this a disappointment would be gracious... Disgusted is more appropiate. $5 is too much to pay for this. It only works intermittently. One time it plays 10 seconds, another for 15 seconds, sometimes it won't play but it never plays longer than 30 seconds. Can your baby be content with only 30 seconds of entertainment? And if the 30 is not enough, don't bother winding it up again, that noise will startle the baby (babies in our case) back to full alert. We are going to cut our losses and find one that is battery or electric operated. Don't waste your money on these units.

My son enjoys the mobile, but after opening it I felt it was very cheaply made for the price. The animals also hit the bar, so it often stops rotating.

I remember I needed a mobile while doing some last minute shopping for my son's nursery. I saw the cute animals which matched perfectly with the jungle themed room. As I was setting it up the string to hook the tree onto the spinner broke but still excited i sewed a new string on and continued. After hooking everything up I started the mobile after about 30 secs it stopped. I twisted til I couldnt twist anymore and after about 2 mins it stopped again. So disappointed :(

We have the entire room with the NOJO Jungle Babies theme. Luckily I decided to get the room together a little bit early. Needless to say the mobile did not fit the crib that we purchased. I was hoping to find an adapter set but one does not exist. We had to return it for another mobile that does not match our room. We ended up getting one that projects onto the ceiling (which I do like better) and it has a remote with it.

I did not have an issue with the animals getting caught but my biggest complaint is how long the music lasts. 30 seconds is not enough to entertain baby. Unless they get a kick out of watching me continuously wind it up. I'm going to be returning this product as I have ordered a better item from from another retailer. Purchased an electronic mobile that runs for 20 mins and comes with a remote for reactivation by mom or dad. Best part, the new electronic mobile was cheaper. Don't waste your money on this item as you will only be disappointed. It does look cute with the jungle theme but I need something that is functional.

I received this item off my baby registry. It coordinates very well with the rest of the Jungle Babies products.

It looks really nice in the crib. But that's where the enjoyment ends. The music is way too loud and after you wind it up, it doesn't last very long. The final disappointing part is that some of the toys are too big and they cannot get past the arm of the mobile. I have to push the toys to get them to pass.

I am very disappointed with this mobile. I have to decide whether to just leave it in the crib and my baby can just look at it or purchase a different mobile that actually functions properly.

My husband and I bought this tonight and put it together, not only did the mount terribly scratch our brand new crib :( but it doesn't even work. We wound it up and nothing happened. I am very upset and will return this tomorrow.
If you purchase this, put a wash cloth between the wood and the plastic mount unless you want your crib scratched too.
