Comments about Guidecraft Little Farmhouse Rocking Chair:

The rocker had to be assembled. This job did not produce too many #*%#* from my husband as he assembled the rocker. The screw holes are pre-drilled. But, when he tightened the screw on one arm, the wood split. Rather than go through the return process and possibly re-counter this problem, he glued it back together himself. A tiny separation in the wood still shows.
The rocker is so cute to look at, but the rock is limited. My 60 year old child's rocker & my son's 30 year old rocker give a full range rock. This new one kind of lurches you because it is not a smooth rolling forward motion; you are stopped from rocking forward very far. Maybe the manufacturer thinks this is safe; but, it is just annoying.
Would I buy it again? I did not find anything else out there. I wish I had reasonable access to an Amish town. Maybe their craftsmen work in the old tried & true method.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
