The product did not look like the picture. The materials and workmanship were well below average. Very inferior product. The fabric was not soft. YOu could feel the metal bars in the legs and almost see them. I bought this for my mother in law with who has dementia and does not recognize anyone. She does however love dogs and used to have a cocker spaniel. I though it would be nice for her to sleep with. I returned the dog after seeing what an terrible product it was. It almost cost me more in shipping to return than I paid for the dog. So I am out money and very disappointed. Will not purchase this brand again. Nor will I shop at Toysrus again. After trying to return to store I was told I would have to send it back myself. Shipping was $26. YIKSES!

I bought two of these as Christmas gifts for my daughters after reading the wonderful reviews. When I took the dogs out of the boxes, both were shaggy and shedding. One dog didn't even look close to the picture (which was also on the accompanying tag); the other looked somewhat like it. I tried to get the dogs to look like the picture representing them, but no luck. Sorry, but for the price I paid, and for the name - Melissa and Doug is usually a great brand - I expected a lot more. I could have gone to [@]and bought something similar for a lot less if I'd wanted to. I'm disappointed and returning these.
