I'm only 20 weeks pregnant, but already my nipples have hurt so much at times that I wanted to rip them off. I asked my doctor what I could use to help the pain and he suggested this product. My friend had a tube that she gave me (I didnt want to spend a lot of money on a product I'd never tried for something that might not work.) I dont know what's in this product, but it WORKED! any time my nipples really hurt, I put a little on and the pain (eventually) gets back to a much more tolerable level.

many reviews have complained about the thickness of the cream, but if you just rub a little between your fingers for a few seconds before applying, it warms up enough that it doesnt hurt to apply, even to super sensitive/painful nipples.

I really enjoy this product. I have been breatsfeeding for a month and I have been able to get though it without bleeding or cracked nipples. I really believe I owe it to this product, I would recommend this for any new mom for their breatsfeeding essentials.

My nipples had (and are having) a rough time breastfeeding--and now exclusively pumping. I thought this brand would work well since the wipes are great, but the lanolin in the tube is so thick that it's very difficult to apply. I had sore, cracked and bleeding nipples, and applying this thick stuff was incredibly painful and just a pain in general. Go with the medela one, much thinner and easier to apply.

I've used this since the birth of my first child, 5 years ago. Most of the time, I use Earth Mama Angel Baby nipple cream, but in the very beginning, or when baby is getting a new tooth, I need a little bit of extra help.

Yes, it can stain, but if you use it with nursing pads, no big deal.

It can be hard to spread, but here's a little tip: as soon as you sit down to nurse, stick the tube underneath your thigh. Your body heat will warm it up, and make it easier to spread.

And other bonuses: it works GREAT on minor burns, skin chafing, chapped lips, diaper rash, rough cuticles, under the nose for kiddos with runny noses, ... and new tattoos! I use this stuff for everything!

I used this daily when I first started breast feeding and at the first hint of soreness now. I've never gotten cracked or bleeding nipples. My nipples feel immediately better when I put this ointment on. I even used it on my extremely chapped lips and it worked great!!!

Worked great on my sore nipples! My only complaint is that it's very difficult to remove from my fingers after.

I honestly don't know if I could have made it through the first three weeks of breastfeeding without this product. I was so sore and the lanolin was one of the only ways I got any relief. I was even given tubes of it by my lactation consultant in the hospital. I had tubes stored in my bedroom, bathroom, nursery, and diaper bag, as I could not be without it! I applied it after every feeding and after every shower. I did make sure to wear breastpads while using it, as it is thick and greasy (and of course, leaking milk onto your clothes is never fun!).
I would highly recommend this to any nursing mother.
