This listing has a combination of Kidizoom & Kidizoom Plus images & info. I thought (from the heading of this listing) I was ordering the Plus, but just received the far inferior, older camera. I will be returning it & have already placed an order elsewhere for the right camera.

THE PICTURES ARE HORRIBLE THERE IS NO WAY TO PRINT THEM AND HAVE THEM COME OUT GOOD.. FOR THE PRICE OF THIS CAMERA YOU CAN GET YOUR KIDS A REAL CAMERA FOR ONLY $15 MORE AND THE PICTURES WILL BE ABLE TO REALLY BE USED... I BOUGHT THIS LAST CHRISTMAS FOR MY SON (5) AND HE USED IT TWICE AND SAID ITS HORRIBLE PICTURE AND REFUSES TO USE IT SO HE HAS BEEN USING MINE ALL YEAR... THIS YEAR HE IS GETTING A REAL CAMERA THAT I SHOULD HAVE JUST BOUGHT IN THE FIRST PLACE... THE ONLY GOOD PART IS WHEN DROPPED IT BOUNCED AND DIDNT BREAK. BUT THATS ALL I CAN SAY FOR IT.

The Kidizoom and Kidizoom PLUS have different specs. The PLUS model provides 256MB of memory (vs 16MB on the regular Kidizoom).

Although this product description claims to have 256MB of memory, the Manufacturer number provided (80-077300) corresponds to the regular Kidizoom camera. In other words, you're paying for 256 MB and being given 16MB. In-store, the shelf-tag indicated the PLUS model by name, but again the regular model # and cameras were provided.

We have had the same issue with 3 other MAJOR (reputable) retailers over the past several months, so the substitution seems to be upstream somewhere... perhaps at the manufacturer.

Read the label... look for "PLUS" on the camera and the packaging, and for the correct manufacturer model # 80-077341 (blue) or 80-077361 (pink).

And if you do find the real PLUS, in BLUE... you're lucky! We've been looking for months without success... :(

Camera just stopped working, changed the batteries and still would not come back on. Did some reading on the net and to fix this issue just push the reset button which is the downward arrow button for a few seconds then push the power button. Hope this helps.

My son received this as a gift for Christmas 1 year ago, and this camera is still going strong, and actually doesn't show any signs of use. We absolutely love it, and my son uses it at least once a day, whether it is to play the games or take some pictures. It is important to have a lighted room though, if the room is too dark then your pics will be as well. Otherwise, this camera takes wonderful pics for being a child's camera. It is also extremely durable, though my son is really good about taking care of his possessions, he is only 4 and accidents do happen. So, it has been dropped a time or two. We have rechargeable batteries in it and we have not needed to recharge them in quite some time. I think that this camera is a great buy, and in my opinion the best one for the price.

My son had this camera since he was 3 years old. He is now almost 7, and we are just replacing it now. He has dropped it, immersed it in water (we dried it out soaking it in rice for 1 wk.), and everything else a young kid can do to it! Very well made product.

This camera is great. My son is 4 and he loves playing the games on it and making silly pictures with the special features. The batteries last for quite a while, which I've heard other people complain about with other kinds of kid cameras. It's very durable and has been a great purchase.

My son received this for his birthday last month. He played with it for a very short time before the batteries died. We changed the batteries and then couldn't turn back on. We finally got it working by only briefly before it died again. It is now completely inoperable. I would not recommend spending any money on this item.

BOUGHT FOR MY VERY RESPONSIBLE 4 YR OLD FOR XMAS.....LONG STORY SHORT-HE LOVED IT BUT IT SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING...REPLACED BATTERIES AND NO LUCK...CONTACTED VTECH......POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE........I WAS SO DISGUSTED WITH THEM...THEY JUST TOLD ME TO CHANGE BATTERIES AND THATS IT...ONLY HAD A FEW MONTHS :((((

I sent this to my grandson for his 4th birthday, and it is his favorite present! It seems to have lots of cool features, is easy for him to use, and keeps him out of mom's camera. He cracks up over the feature that lets him distort his face! They are still figuring out the rest of the cool stuff. Today, they are taking the metro down to the airport so he can take pictures.
