Santa brought this for my 3 year old son for Christmas this year and he loved it! The whole family had fun making items out of play doh using the cookie cutters, spagetti machine, and using the plastic knife.

Only reason why I gave this 4 stars out of 5 was the fact that some of the cookie cutters that were in the package were duplicates! It would have been nice if everything had a different shape on it.

My son, husband, and myself had a wonderful family time using this set. I would so buy another one next year for him again!

The special part of this set is the "Play Doh extruder", which is a plastic toy that you jam play doh into and squeeze it out in different shapes (spaghetti, tapes, star, etc.). My kids love using this, except it's hard to remove play doh from the small slits that the plastic mold piece slides into, which means the play doh dries in there and then the next time you use it, it's hard to slide the plastic piece in. I have to dig out the dried play doh with a butter knife. Not so fun for me.

Our youngest is three and she loves Play-Doh products. We were disappointed after using the extruder. It is very hard to clean and the dough sticks all over the inside. This does have a lot of pieces and she loves all the cookie cutters. I have read that if you let the dough dry out a little it does not stick, so we are going to try this. This set was still a good price considering all the pieces it came with.

Play Doh accessories were on the market while my children were growing up in the 70's and they were much more substantial and sturdy. I was very disappointed in the cheap pieces of plastic and the bendable/breakable slider of shapes that fit on the main "factory". It's also hard to clean out to change doh colors. My grandson almost broke it the first time he picked it up. I'd rather pay a few dollars more for quality and how about making it in the USA???

I looked everywhere for a nice basic set of play doh accessories and this one definitely fit the bill. It came with just enough play doh for a child new to it (3 1/2 years old) and had all of the basics like the cookie cutters, roller, thing that you squeeze the doh out of (not sure what it's called), etc. My daughter is a bit young for some of the more elaborate sets that make different kinds of food and whatnot so this was perfect.

i bought this set for vacation fun with my 2-yr-old granddaughter. We had hours of good playtime with it-- literally hours! The first time I brought it out she was fascinated for over two hours, playing by the rules of "one color at a time" and learning how to use the animal-shaped cookie cutters and the extruding machine. (And learning how to clean the extruder with a toothpick.) We had lots of practice with colors, and shapes, and putting the rollers together in different ways and cutting things into fractions. She learned "half" in just a few minutes. Your imagination is the limit, and 2 is not too young for supervised play.

My 2 1/2 year old son loves Playdough products and this was his first equipment buy. We love it.

I ordered this for my kids for Christmas. This is still the great item that I remember as a kid. My kids love to play with their playdoh fun factory.I just wish they had found a way to clean out the playdoh factory press to get out the excess playdoh. Other then that this is a great product as it has always been for years.
