Playmats in general are must-haves, and I can't imagine what I would do without them entertaining my infant. That's why we moms buy these things, knowing how over priced they are. This playmat meets all the expectations of what a good activity gym should be. It comes with many toys, the mat is very colorful, the acquarium is visually stimulating and versatile, not to mention the relaxing classical music, and the whale is useful during tummy time. It IS expensive, but not any more than most other activity gyms out there.

Also, it says this gym is for babies of age 0-24 months, which is silly because I think most babies will outgrow them even at 6 months.

Kirsten enjoyed this from day one. She likes laying under it, and we even take the top part off and use it as a mat for tummy time. I love the colors and the music. It is really fun and cute!
I hope she uses it more often as she grows, she is only 3 weeks old. But I really do enjoy the look of this mat. And it was easy to put together.
It is nice that it folds up easily too, I just pack it away and store it when we are done!

Our daughter LOVES this playmat and gym. We got it when she was about a month old and have been using it ever since. She particularly loves the octopus toy and making the music and lights play (there is a motion mode so she just needs to pull on the hanging toys to get it to turn on). Only downside is that it is SO expensive. I only bought it because I had a coupon and gift cards.

I bought this product and returned it the very next day. It i very nice but it is not worth [$] This is something your child will use for a while and then will get bored of it. Something like a play matt should not be so expensive. it is extremelly overpriced.

I originally registered for another item and got this one at my baby shower. From the day we got home from the hospital, my baby girl has been fascinated with this mat/toy. At first it was the music and flashing lights that excited her, then it was the small fish, and then the octopus. She is now just over seven months old and she still loves playing with the mat. I really like all the Baby Einstein products, but I think this one is the best!

My baby loves this playmat. It has a music attachment that you can set to play continuously or play when he shakes the bars which is nice cause its like a suprise for him when he shakes the toys. It has lots of nice toys included. Its very easy to put together and folds up easily for storage. Its also nice you can use for tummy time and then use it on there back also.

My son loves this gym. I like that it is so colorful on the mat itself so during tummy time he has something to look at as well. I like that you can swap out different toys to hang on it so babies have something different to look at.

Also, the toy that lights up and plays music is great to hang in a crib as well. That is actually where ours is kept so our son can look at that and listen before he goes to sleep! He loves it!

During his first 2 months my son doesn't have much interest with the playmat but once he turned 2 1/2 months it becomes a lifesaver! He could play with it for hours looking at the mirror & cooing & at the octopus. The music is long enough, soothing & interesting. Definitely worth the price!

My son plays with this and likes the toys, however, it is not worth the price. A toy like this should cost around $20-$30, not [$]! The music box broke after only 1 week of use! It started to make a static noise. Other than that, the mat is pretty soft and the toys stay on it pretty well. I got this as a gift, but if I had to spend the money on this, I would probably pass.

some friends bought this for me before my son was born. it had many bright colors and many sea creatures, which i loved. there was a few hard plastic circles on a ring that came with it to show the animal and its name. we used those in the day care when the children got to be about one to tell them what animals live in the ocean. my son loved watching the bright blue whale and playing with all the dangling toys. he used the music player while laying on this toy and now as a one year old, he enjoys listening to it and seeing the flashing bright lights while laying in his crib. it is a little pricey but i think its worth it. it looks almost brand new after a few washes. i did take the white plastic bars out after one of them got bent in the washing machine - i forgot to take them out when i washed it the first time. it still lays flat so that wasn't an issue. we own a german shepherd so in the beginning i perferred my son laying on this instead of our aging carpet. i am looking forward to my next son playing with this and learning from it.
