I purchased this for our Thomas the Tank Engine collection I keep for our grandsons. It has all those very helpful little pieces that you don't think about until you are in the middle of laying out track. It allows you to easily complete those areas where the track has come together with male-male or female-female needs. It also provides end-of-track bumpers and some little signs to add flavor to your railroad. Very useful little pieces!

We love the Thomas Wooden Railway collection. It is well made and offers many hours of wholesome, creative entertainment for my one and four year old children. This set adds somewhat to the functionality of our track but it lacks enough pieces (and the right pieces) to make it "really useful". Specifically, the set has a hinged piece that is a female-to-female or male-to-male adapter - but is just ONE piece. It's clever but it would have been simpler and better to have several one-piece adapters that would make it possible to do multi-direction loops. My kids like this set because it is new and they don't know better; but we will soon need more parts.

I like these pieces in this set because the small ones make it so much easier to create elaborate track set ups. Without them you're limited. The bumpers for the end of the track come in handy too.

We bought the starter set when the boys were 2. they are now 4& We keep adding pieces to their train set: bridges, switchers, RR crossing ect. they love when they come to our house to make their little city. I get on the floor with them and we really get creative with the track. It keeps them entertained for hours.

Out of all the brands of track I've seen, Thomas Wooden Railway is my favorite. The texture/design makes it look very nice. The quality is amazing. It's a bit more expensive, but sometimes you have to pay a little extra for quality. This specific set of track is one of my favorites, the end pieces are nice to have.

Mostly track additions with two signs. Wish an explanation on how to put them together with existing sets was included. Found it difficult to figure the layout and, as a result, some pieces are not being utilized.
