My baby loves this book! She is 8 months old and loves all the colors/pictures of other babies and animals. We set it up so it is standing on its own with one of the pages with babies showing, and when she catches sight of it, she immediately crawls over and starts talking to her "friends".

The cardboard pages, the size and the vibrant colors of the book are great. However, the "First 100 Words of Baby" are not pratical for a baby just learning to speak. I thought it would be words like cat, dog, cow, etc. Things that are easy for a new talker to pronounce. Instead, it gave descriptions.

    My son is 10 months old and loves this book! We also have friends with a 2 year old daughter and it's great for her as well. The book is large with bright colors, perfect to keep kids entertained and learning. Will definitely buy this as a baby shower gift!

    cool book I'd buy it again, but I would never
    ever buy from toysrus online again, customer
    service is awful and rude and not helpful at all
    they charged me doubled and when I called them
    they said it would take at least 5 days to
    get credited back, NOT RIGHT !!!

            I'm a mom of a 1 year old and also a speech pathologist - this is the best book I have found that can be used in the most simple, basic form to adapting it to a more complex level for introducing language and speech. You can use it with explainations, making sounds and asking "Where or Which ?s" (i.e. Can you find the duck?, Which animal says WOOF WOOF?). In addition to those more advanced uses of the book, the colors are SO bright and it's actual up to date photographs of items/animals, which babies and toddlers prefer over sketches or drawings. My little girl enjoys books anyway, but this one will keep her interest for longer than most. It is very reasonably priced and as a therapist, I also recommend this for pediatric therapy in your clinical setting.

            Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

              I bought this book for my son when he was 10 months old (he is now 17 month). He absolutley loves it. Everyday, he runs to his little book shelf and picks out this book. The pictures are excellent and all the colors are great. He really does enjoy pointing to the pictures and flipping through the pages. Even his 4-year-old cousin enjoys looking at it. I am very happy with this purchase.

                My daughter that is now 26 months, LOVES this book. She got it shortly after she turned one. She is able to point the objects out to me if i ask her to find me a particular object. Fun bold colors and she is able to identify with them.
                A must for any toddler!
