        I bought this recently for my one year old. He just loves it and I love the fact that it is so different from so many other baby books. It is sturdy and colorful and there is even a scratch and sniff...for a skunk tail!

          We love this book! My 11 month old daughter will spend at least 20 minutes going through this book. And for a little one that's quite a long time! She will go over and over all of the tactile elements and pop-up surprises in the story. As an educator I also appreciate the vocabulary, rhyming, and age-appropriate length of the story. At the end there is also a challenge to go back through the book and find a certain number of each animal. (Can you look back through the book and find 7 zebras?, etc....) I think this will be a favorite book for a long time!

          From the time my daughter was 3 months old (she is now almost 9 months) she has loved this book. Now, if I start to read her another book at bedtime, she tries to close the book I'm reading and looks around for "Tails" and I have to read it to her again and again! She loves feeling the different textures and pulling the tabs. She even turns the pages!

          Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
