    This book is great. So much fun! A chance to really get into what you're reading and make it fun! Good chance to review counting/numbers, colors and encourage healthy foods..shows what eating too much junk food can do too...bellyache. My son is 4 and this has been his favorite book for about a year. My daughters are 3 and they too love this book. We got it as a gift and I will be sure to buy it for other little ones!

              This is a nice book and we like the author. The pictures match the text. Eric Carle's pictures are colorful and pretty. The title of the book is fun and made us want to read the book. We like the ending of the book because the caterpillar got fat, made a cocoon, and turned into a delicate butterfly. We also like how Eric Carle put holes in the pages to show where the caterpillar ate! We love this book because it makes us happy, laugh, smile, etc.

                My son loves this book and it is the only book he reads every night before bed. He will be 3 in March and he has the whole story remembered already. He reads along as we turn the pages, even if we aren't reading it. We have the much bigger version of this book that came with a read along DVD and I'm thinking of buying this smaller one as a back up and to make it easier to read while laying down with him.

                    I loved this book growing up and now that I'm a college student studying Early Childhood Education, I couldn't wait to get the chance to read this book to the children at my placement. The book is a lot of fun for young children, it teaches them about different stages of the life of a caterpillar and it's colourful. Even as an adult, I still love this book and read it over and over!

                      I love this book and so does my 1 yr old grandson. He likes the pages in the middle with the fruit because they are easy to turn and he like poking his finger in the hole and seeing the caterpillar on the next page. We have fun with this and sparks his interest in reading.
