This game is best suited for younger kids. The box recommends 4 - 8 as appropriate but my 6 year old played it once before calling it "too boring". However, my three year old loves it. Just not enough to hold the interest of a more than 4 year old I'd say. Very simple game.

Love the game. It's fun, simple to set up and play. Kids can play it without adult intervention. It's biggest downfall is that there are too many STOP cards and not enough action cards. Perhaps there will be a secondary set of cards printed to buy separately. Until then, we've made some of our own cards up.

Our 3 and 5 year old love playing it with Mom and Dad. They have fun following simple, "silly", instructions. It's great b/c the game is not too long...and never the same twice. Our girls love it!

After having read the reviews here, I thought this would be a great game for my daughter who just turned 4. We played it one time, and she said it was boring, and I had to agree. She could easily perform all of the stunts, so nothing excited or stimulated her. Putting a fan under your shirt and jumping three times just isn't that hard for a 4-year old. I was really disappointed.

This might be a good game for a younger child, who is just learning to follow multiple instructions (i.e. walk around the stick, with the ball, under your right arm).

The materials are surprisingly sturdy, starting with the box it comes in, to the cards, toys, and even the instructions (which are easy to follow). The only flimsy piece is the trickamastick, but I can live with that. My 4-going-on-5 year old loves it and wants to play all the time.

This game uses the Cat in the Hat theme to inspire participants to try some unusual stunts. It only tAkes about 10 minutes to play the whole game (provided you eliminate some of the annoying "stop cards"). The price was great too. [...]

I bought this for my nephew who is 5 for Christmas. I wasn't sure if he'd really like it. But I was wrong, he totally loved it. That night we played 3xs and the next day he played 4.

Even his dad (who is 33)was sliding underneath the thing-a-ma-stick with the rake between his elbows!

It was a lot of fun and brought a lot of laughs when we all played it!

I think the thing-a-ma-stick should have been a little higher and a little sturdier and maybe more cards. But still is a great game and I highly recommend it!

This is such a fun game. I have an almost 4 year old who wants to play this over and over. I love it how it teaches great skills and helps the child feel like "I can do that". A very positive game. And has these really fun pieces that are totally kid proof. A very good deal for the money. And will provide your kid(s) with hours of fun and learning!
