Do NOT buy these. they manufacturer did not properly make these and they do not fit over and COVER the outlets! We contacted the manufacturer and they said they have changed the design. We are hoping to receive replacements, but they haven't arrived yet.

We thought that when we bought this product, our son wouldn't be able to get to the plugs. According to many, even adults had a hard time getting them off. This didn't bother us because whatever we intended to plug in, we were leaving it plugged in. Within one minute of installing the cover, my 16 month old snapped the cover off, breaking the plastic clips that hold it on. We then installed the second one, thinking it was just a faulty cover. Another minute passed and he had done the same with the second one. These covers were not worth the money or time spent installing them (which really wasn't much). I would not recommend them to anyone.

Your child might not be able to unplug the plug but neither will you! The tabs on the side that you are suppose to push in to open it so that you can plug your plug in takes a strong muscle man to open. Terrible!!!!

The one and only redeeming value here is that there is no way even the most inventive toddler can get this cover off- because not even adults can get it off! I just spent ten minutes- again- trying to open the cover to plug something in, and I've had it. We're uninstalling them and getting something else. NOT user friendly.

What good is this product if it won't fit surge protector wires?

And no where on the outside of the packaging does it mention needing to be able to screw it in, which seeing as how my house has the updated outlets that don't have the center screw. In fact, it states "no screw driver required", which unless you know a better way to unscrew a screw, is just a lie.

My son is 9 months old. We ordered this product so he wouldn't pull the cords out of the wall. I was a little apprehensive purchasing this because of reviews saying it was diffucult to get the cover off. I figured for the price we would give it a shot. It was EASY to install. The first time taking the cover off was a little tough but after that it works like a charm and my son can't get the cover off. Would definately recommend!

this is the greatest product to protect your children from outlets in use. it is dangerous to have a child touch the prongs while the plug is in the outlet and this is the only product that prevents that.

Easy to install. I have a busy toddler who was very curious about the outlet covers that just push into the existing wall plate. I put these on and now he ignores them, plus I can plug things in now and actually use my outlets. A tad difficult to open once installed , but that should work better for keeping little hands out.

The product is easy to use and it does what it is supposed to. You don't have to remove your outlet covers which is a bonus so you don't have to wonder what happened to it when you remove the covers. It was inexpensive but worth every penny!

This product was very easy to install, it fits the outlet with the screw in the middle. But, you have to wrestle with the tabs to get it open and I finally had to use two wrenches with plastic handles to push in the tabs. When I finally was able to install it to the outlet, the sides were not wide enough to cover the hole in the wall. The outlet was perfectly covered and safe, but you could fit your finger in between the outlet and the wall. Now, the instructions did say that the tabs would 'initially' be difficult to work. Could my fingers be weaker than the average person? Did I get one that was extraordinarily tight? It was not easy to use and did not fit the outlet.
