We love these! I'm buying more! We have stupid bifold doors on every single closet in our house, and have problems with the kids, 2 cats, and golden retriever constantly getting them open. My husband bought a set of these a few months ago, to try out on a closet and they are great! If you pull really hard they do snap off, but it usually happens after a few minutes of animals/kids playing with it, so we still have enough warning to go check it out.

We bought two of these and I will be returning them tomorrow. I plan to buy the Kidco one instead.

This doesn't fit the door properly. I removed the tightening plate that made it too snug and now it is too loose. It pops up when I use normal effort to open the door. My choices are too loose or too tight! Also, it is not wide enough
(probably why it pops up).

It was definitely worth a try and costs less than competitors but it simply did not fit our standard sized bi-fold door.

Great with bifold closet doors! Remember to make it as tight as you can though because it could still pinch slightly if they are able to open them alittle.

Comments about Safety 1st Bi-fold Door Lock:

We couldn't use this as it was too small to fit over our bifold doors which are wood and thicker. It would be easy to use for a thin door or perhaps a metal door.

Comments about Safety 1st Bi-fold Door Lock:

The idea behind this is good but for me it did not work. Trying to lock and unlock was very difficult. Trying to slide the lock over to cover the bend in the door was almost impossible. Also my doors are tall which made it even harder. If u have a bifold door u never go into then this should work but not if u access it daily. It does appear to be well made.

Comments about Safety 1st Bi-fold Door Lock:

This is a great product, but you need two of these to keep your child out of the closet, for the bottom of the said closet. It doesn't work for the top as the picture suggests. With my child being very curious, this product is a lifesaver!

Love this for our bi-fold doors. We actually don't even lock it, just slide it over the top of the doors and it has worked great to keep C from playing with the doors and squishing fingers.

The door lock does not work. It does not fit over my bi fold door. We had to remove the insert part that tightens and now it does not stay put. It is not one size fits all for doors apparently. We thought it would fit all doors.
