They take a little time to remove, but that's what I like about them. My son will literally work at something for hours trying to "break" it. This is the only plug cover my son has not figured out how to remove. I gave some to my daycare provider. She threw out all her old ones and replaced them with this product.

This cover is great, my son has tried and has not succeeded in getting them off. I would recommend them to anyone w/toddler that gets into everything.

These products are supposed to be hard to get out that is the point. I have never had one break or other problems the other parents are having, you just need to make sure you are pushing all the buttons at once. I have bought many packs and will continue to buy more as needed.

I agree with several other posters. I put one of these in my outlet to test it and I can't get it out. I didn't try any others for fear the same thing would happen. The tabs on the sides just don't work like they are supposed to. Impossible to remove. I will try something else.

Works so well that I can't get them out without hurting my finger. I suggest using these on outlets you NEVER intend on using.

I installed these when my child was a few months old. She is four now and I still can't figure out how to get these out of the outlets! I understand the concept of how to do it...but they won't budge. Thank goodness I only had 4 of them so only two outlets are not accessible. It's unfortunate they are the most convenient ones...

I like the concept of the product. The fact that the covers are more difficult to get out of the outlets doesn't bother me that is what I originally liked about the product. The problem I have with the product is it stretches out the prong holes in the outlets. When I go to plug something in it hangs out of the outlet. Now I have to go and replace the outlets and my home is only 4 years old. The protective covers stretch out the prong holes because the plastic prongs on the protective covers are thicker than the outlet holes.

These are the most difficult to remove but thats the point. All of the other ones my 2 yr old can remove. These are worth getting even if they might be a little hard to remove, they are well worth it so that your child cannot.

My 7 month went right up to them for the first examination and pulled it right out and went to chew on it. These are not safe! Not only now do I have to worry about shocking but I have to worry about Choking.

These are terrible. The first one I tried would not lock into the socket and could be pulled right out. I tried another one on a different socket and it locked in alright - boy did it lock in! I tried to remove it and it would not release. My husband tried and couldn't get it to release either. It took 15 minutes for us to finally get it out. I agree that it should be difficult for a child to remove, that's the point, but when you are squeezing all three tabs and still can't get it to budge for 15 minutes, that's just rediculous. I thought we were going to have to leave it there permanently. We will not be trying another one b/c I'm afraid we would never get it out. I thought maybe we got defective ones b/c the tabs on the right were already depressed, not sticking out like the left side, but apparently that's how they are supposed to be? Good idea, bad product.
