I am a short mother of active twins. I got these in hopes that it would help keep my blinds from being yanked down. Unfortunately anytime I pull the cord down or to put the blinds down the darn things pop apart and go flying. I can hold onto them until a certain point but then I am not short to get the blinds all the way down. I also can't wind them up enough to keep them out of the reach of the 15 month olds. So not very helpful. I end up having to put the cord winder back on every time I do anything with the blinds.

As for doing what it says, technically it can and was easy to install but as for actually staying that way, that's another story. If the end of the cord is tugged the two pieces pop apart. I ended up gluing one edge of the cap so that it doesn't fall apart but it will have to be cut off when I'm done with it. In short, I continued to use it because it's prettier than a knot of cords but it's a poor design.

The cord wind up is fine for what it is supposed to do. It falls apart frequently and probably because I have a lot of extra slack in my cords, so I need it to hold more. If you have longer cords (shorter windows), then it might be more annoying than it is helpful. However, it does the trick and I can't seem to find the other brand I had seen at another big baby store. It did work better though, so I'm still on a quest to find more of them!

Um...let's see...totally useless? Tried winding up the cord and as soon as I got NEAR the desired length the cap just wound up popping right off because the stupid thing wasn't big enough to hold the cord. Total waste of frustrated energy and money.

These are awful! Hard to use, a pain to get on, and once they are on, it is really frustrating putting the blinds up and down. You barely touch them and they pop off and then you have to roll the cord back up all over again! Perhaps if you never use the blinds, then this product would be a good buy, as it would keep the cords safely up, but if you put your blinds up and down on a regular basis, DO NOT BUY. I repeat, do not buy these. I really wish I had listened to the other reviews before buying 3 packs of them!

These things are a cheap and useless waste of money. My 20 month old son popped them right off and was walking around with them. They don't "wind-up" like they say they do and slight tug on them opens them apart- leaving you right where you started. I'm taking other's advise and going with simple clothes pins!

I had high hopes for these things but they're so frustrating. While it does shorten blind cords, they're designed so that you pull the string below the wind up device. A few issues with that. 1 it's awkward to pull the cord that way and 2 it caused the device to pop off. I tried several times and itnever seemed to work. The material itself feels really cheap to do anything productive.
