We are a surfing family that travels ALOT! I was super stressed out on how I was going to deal with the washing and disinfecting of the baby bottles,our baby is lactose intolerant and therefore not breastfed . I bought the playtex drop in liner system and I love t for traveling! I use Avent bottles t home fr everyday butWhen we travel I take the playtex drop in liners. The only inconvenience is that the measurement on the bottle is off by about half a ounce, but we "fixed " this by measuring the liquid at home once with our measuring up and then dropping it in the liner to see the correct amount o f water we realy have to use...being parents on the go go go this dop in liner system has made ur traveling and feeding soooo easy! We couldn't even think about traveling without the platex drop in liner bottles!

These are far better than store brand liners, but still need to be improved. You can't make more than a 7oz. bottle with formula in less you pre mix in a different bottle or container. Once my son started drinking 8oz. I switched to Born Free bottles. I hated having to go buy all new bottles to use for only a couple more months! I would not use these full time only for travel.

I ordered what was labeled as '50-ct 8oz liners.' What arrived was the Expandable liners. I didn't even realize it until I dumped a MEASURED 4 oz of milk into the liner and it came up as a much lower number on the Playtex Nurser. Then I realized there were TWO sets of oz. measurements on the nurser - one for regular liners, one for Expandable. I had thrown away the box the liners came in by then so I had to buy a NEW box of Expandable liners and compare. Confusing and annoying!!

I don't know why expandable liners are a necessity. They don't seem to expand fully unless you have 8+ oz to dump in, so the measurements will never be exact. While I realize it doesn't make a big difference either way in the long run, it's still annoying.

I kind of wish I had started my baby on a different bottle system, one without the confusion of liners. Then again, my baby never spits up or experiences tummy upset or gas after feedings, so maybe the hassle is worth it.

I use this product daily. The liners help making bottles go quickly.

My suggestion for making powdered formula in these liners is to use a measuring cup. If i am making a 6 ounce bottle i fill the liner with 3 ounces of water, add the powdered formula and add the rest of the water.
when you are finished feeding your baby, if there is any formula left in the bottle, simply loosen the cap, you can tell how much formula your infant drank by telling how much is left.

I went through so many bottles (Born free, Breast flow, dr browns, Gerber, etc) and Drop-In system was the only brand that worked great for my baby. The Drop-in system nipples were the only ones that she did not collapse. Her latch is so strong that she sucks in lots of air and the drop-in system decreased the amount of gas and stomach pains that she had.
I agree w others that the dropins are not made for mixing formula. I use the dr brown's formula mixer to make four 8oz bottles at a time. For me, the only reason I use the drop-ins is because it decreases my baby's gassiness. The other bottles that I tried have too many parts. If the parts aren't assembled correctly, then my baby gets the worst gas. I don't want to risk that again. Drop-in concept is basic and easy to use.

Very disappointed in the drop-ins. My baby boy is 2 weeks and since I started using the drop-ins he is very gassy. You can never get all the air out of the drop-in bag (constantly having to push it out which is a pain). I switched to the Dr. Browns bottles and have not had any trouble.

I have used nothing but playtex bottles with my 3 children. Expecting a 4th any day now and already purchased playtex bottles and liners.I love the ease and the fact that you use a new clean liner every time. I dont have a mixing problem as 2 of my 3 used ready to feed formula, although I find it easier to hold the liner out of the bottle first when filling and use the numbers on the liner not the bottle. Then slide the liner in the bottle. Also dont have any problems heating as I am old fashioned and heat my formula on the stove and not a microwave. After heating I just pour into the bottle and its ready to go. I love the whole playtex line and wouldn't use anything else.

I have been using the standard bags for the drop in bottles, but have been unable to find them as easily as the drop in liners. I decided to try these even though I had read bad reviews on the liners. Well, the reviews were right! You cannot read the amount of water you are putting into the liner. The liner is imprinted with the ounces but you cannot see it clearly through the outer bottle. The company claims on their website that the new non decorated drop-in bottles are accurate on the outer bottle so you don't have a problem with the liner being unreadable. But what about the old style decorated drop-in bottles that I have? Now I have to buy all new bottles just to be able to read their new style drop-in liners. Do not purchase these unless you have the new drop-in bottles that "claim" to be accurate! The idea and convenience is great, but I am currently stuck with multiple drop-in bottles that I cannot use with the drop-in liners?!

I love the product itself and how much help it could be. It is just very difficult to know the exact amount you poured in. I have to use another bottle to measure the exact amount of ounces. It kind of defeats the purpose of the system. Once I warm up the bottle the liner expands and it shows me how much formula I actually poured in.

So I keep reading great reviews, well i must be missing something because i am very upset with this whole drop in system... I bought everything because of all the great reviews, i bought the playtex pump, a couple bottle storing systems, bottles and liners... and when it came time to start freezing my breastmilk i was pleased with the pump and everything worked great until it was time to feed my baby and warm up the frozen or refridgerated liners containing breastmilk... i warmed them up under running warm water or a bowl full of warm water... and everytime i have done this the rim of the liner lets loose from the rim of the bottle or liner rings, spilling the contents out... which is pretty upsetting because it is not always easy to find the time to pump and store breastmilk especially when you really rely on the stored breastmilk while preparing to go back to work a full time job... i am a new mom so this system has just made this whole storing breastmilk situation way harder than it already is, and not to mention all the money i have wasted since the pump only works with the drop in system that does not work... i dont know i just dont understand all the great reviews i wish i could agree but i strongly, strongly disagree, just stinks for me because playtex already got my money.
