I am a soon to be first time mom. I bought these liners along with the drop ins bottles because I will be breast feeding but will need to pump so my husband can bottle feed while I'm on campus. I bought these because it said that the liners are "ideal for breastmilk storage." These liners CANNOT store breastmilk, as they do not seal. I bought them thinking that they can be sealed and store my breastmilk, then dropped into the bottles. The packaging is misleading, if you want a playtex product that will store your milk buy the preformed liners and breastmilk storage kit playtex makes.

I put these liners into the bottles, then pump breastmilk directly into them. I have the Playtex adapter set that attaches the bottles directly to my pump. Then, when I'm preparing the bottles for daycare, I just remove the storage caps from the bottles and attach the ring and nipple.

I love the 8 oz. bottles and liners as opposed to the 4 oz., because by the time I started bottles at around 3 months, my son was already taking 5 oz. at a time. I recommend just saving money and starting with the 8 oz. because you can always put less than 4 oz. in the big bottles.

I prefer these to the drop-ins for several reasons. While I have never had either type leak on me, these liners just seem to seal better. The fold down over the rim of the bottle, whereas the drop-ins just sit on top of the rim. Also, these liners have easy-to-read ounce markings on the liner, as well as a spot to write name, date, and time on the liner. The drop-ins do not.

These liners collapse better than the drop-ins as well. My son does not seem to have any more gas than he does when breastfeeding.

Okay seriously, if you use the bottle to measure, you've got issues! THOSE are the inaccurate measurments! These are easy to put on, and once you get water in it, tap it on the counter and then read it. AND you can actually read it! The drop ins have barely legible numbers on them that I have to hunt for and pretend that I can see! These are so clearly marked in bold green. I really prefer these to the drop ins. And they're cheaper. What more could I ask for?

After my twins were born I went the traditional bottle route, and was constantly washing bottles. After a few months I sought out a better solution. I love the playtex drop in bottles, liners, and latex nipples. Wonderful products and I haven't had any problems with them. Great to use with The First Years bottle Warmer! The standard liners take a bit more work, but work just as well and you get more for your money! Easy to use while traveling, running errands, or just at home.

I have used playtex system with both my children. WONDERFUL PRODUCT! I LOVE the standard liners. For those who are looking for a compact way to take your baby out for the day and still have the bottles needed here it is....

All you'll ever need to bring is one bottle, 1 nipple, 1 collar and 1 cap... just scoop your powdered formula into each liner, roll up the liner and use something to hold it closed (i.e. an elastic) and viola compactly travel with as many bottles as you need... If on vacation I find it easier to by a bottle of water when I need to make a bottle, warm it in the car (with a bottle warmer or the sun, both work fine) and tada... you have a bottle for baby that is easily washed at the end and ready for another use!!! Seriously, you could live with just one bottle if you have too... I have about 8 bottles but have really only used one bottle a day with this method!

This product serves its purpose. I have the larger playtex bottles that are 8 oz. and prior to these inserts I used the ones that expand to 10 oz. I much prefer the expandable ones to these standard sized ones. The expandable kind just sit on the bottle where these you have to fold over and it can be rather frustrating when they don't fit. They also aren't very accurate with the ounce amounts. None the less they hold the formula and fit the bottle so they are just fine.

THESE LINERS ARE THE BEST OUT THERE, I FIRST BOUGHT THE PRE FORMED LINERS, BUT WHEN I WOULD SHAKE THE BOTTLE, THEY WOULD LEAK. WITH THE STANDARD LINERS YOU GET A TIGHT SEAL. IT DOES TAKE LIKE 3 MORE SECONDS TO PREPARE THE BOTTLE THAN WITH THE PREFORMED LINERS, BUT ITS WORTH IT. I USE THESE LINERS WITH "THE FIRST YEARS" BOTTLE WARMER AND THEY WORK JUST FINE.ONE REVIEW SAYS THAT YOU HAVE TO MEASURE IN ANOTHER CONTAINER, BUT WHAT I DO IS POUR THE MILK, THEN PINCH THE BOTTOM OF THE LINER AND MOVE FROM SIDE TO SIDE, AND IT ADJUSTS TO THE EXACT AMOUNT SO YOU CAN SEE HOW MUCH MORE YOU NEED TO POUR. AND AS FAR AS USING THE GENERIC PRE FORMED LINERS, I WOULD STEER CLEAR FROM THEM, THEY HAVE A REALLY STRONG PLASTIC SMELL THAT MAKES THE MILK SMELL- I WOULD NOT GIVE THAT TO MY BABY OR RECOMEND THEM FOR ANYONE ELSE'S BABY.

I can no longer find the standard liners in my stores which forced me to buy the drop ins. They give me nothing but headaches. I never have leaking with the standard kind, but always do with the drop ins. UGH!!! Sure these may take a few more seconds to put on the bottle, but it's so much better than breast milk or formula all over the counter top!

Working in day care, I see many different kinds of feeding products. This product by far has proven over and over to work the best. The drop-ins made by platex are fine, but they do not take out as much air. This is important, especially for babies that have problems with gas.
The only con I have with these are that you can not heat the formula in them. The formula needs to be heated then put into the liner.
