I can say that this nipple must closely resemble a woman's nipple -it worked perfectly the first time going from breast to bottle. We were in a pinch and I had to give my 5 day old a bottle over the breast. I was terrified of her not latching or worse yet refusing my breast later -didn't happen. She quickly latched on to the nipple and easily returned to my breast the next feeding. So thankful that I went ahead and got these before I thought I would be using them. Highly recommend as a breastfeeding new mom.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these nipples and the drop-ins for my breastfed son. He is now 6 months old and I have been using these bottle only for about 4 months. They never have leaked and they mimic the breast so much. In the begging I just used the Medela bottles cause they fit on my Medela pump, but I wish I would have used these from the start. I have even used fancy expensive breastflow bottles and none of them worked for me. These are the best. The only reason they did not get a full 5 star is because the slow flow nipples are soooo slow. The medium ones are a little faster than I'd like, but these ones are only good for a few months. After that there is no in between. There should be another step between slow and medium. Fast flow just chokes him. One nice thing about these though is that they do have a cereal nipple as well for those baby's who have reflux. But I will always use these even with my next kids!

I just got a new set of Playtex Dropins and it didn't come with enough slow nipples for all the bottles in the set. This was great to be able to get all the nipples that I need, plus you can have a few extra on hand. I love the whole Playtex Dropins system and this helps expand that. I plan to get the medium and fast flow nipples when my baby outgrows the slow flow.

My new daughter will not take the latex ones. They just don't work that well for her. These are easy to wash and resue.

These nipples are terrific; durable and easy to sanitize. I use the original Playtex DropIn nursers and BPA-free liners and I love that these silicone nipples are BPA, PVC, and phthalate free. Easy to clean and comfortable for baby, both due to the wide base. A note: while the slow flow is described as suitable for 0-3 months and the medium as 3-6 months, my BF daughter did not start using the medium flow until halfway through her fourth month; she gagged and choked on the milk when I tried to introduce them just after 3 mos. Guess it depends on their nursing style and preference. Overall, the entire DropIns line is excellent for moms on the go or those who don't have time to be endlessly scrubbing glass bottles!

Great nipple. I nurse and bottle feed my 5 week old daughter. These nipples have been great. I have not used them long enough to see if they wear out quickly as others have suggested. However, my sister used them for both of her sons and this was never a problem for her. I think maybe some people are exposing them to too much heat which wears them out. I use a cold solution for sterilization as did my sister - so maybe that's why they last for us. I particularly like that they work with the Playtex breast milk storage system. You just pop the nipple on the stored milk and go. It makes life SO much easier.

This is by far the best nipple that I have found. I chose the Playtex drop-in system because it claims to be the most like nursing. These nipple are better than the brown ones that come with the cheaper drop-in models. They have a nice slow flow and my son goes back and forth between the breast and the bottle with no problem.
