My mom used these 27 years ago with my little sister, and I helped from time to time. Now I'm ready to have a baby and bought the new drop in liners, which are more flimsy and difficult to get the air out/heat up and requires additional equipment to use as BM storage.

These bags may leak if the lid is not screwed on properly, but to correct that just back screw the lid a notch (counter-clockwise) until it clicks once, then screw on regularly. For breast milk storage, I use a rubber band to close the bag and Pampered Chef-like twixt clip to double seal while freezing, and place into an ice cube tray, tupperware, or Ziplock-type bag in the freezer. To defrost place in refrigerator or into cool water. To warm your milk, simply place bag into a cup, bowl, crock pot, or bottle warmer of hot water then shake to distribute heat evenly; or warm under running hot water in the sink (keep an eye not to overheat), drop liner into the bottle, remove rubber band, fold over liner flaps and screw on lid. If using 2 oz. of liquid in a 4 oz. liner (or any amount) hold top of liner securely with one hand on the flaps and squeeze out air from the bottom of the bag, this pushes the milk up (then screw on lid). I find this to be the most convenient/hygienic bottle on the market and use with the latex nipple for ease of switching from breastfeeding while home (and bottle feeding during daycare hours). When I tried to expel air from the newer drop in liner it was too flimsy and fell through so for those liners I prepare/warm the milk by pouring from another container (but why waste time)?

The other reviewers are right: these bags don't have a seal, so you can't store milk in them without purchasing a breast milk storage kit (which I assume works, but have not tried it).

For those who are saying that "they are not intended for this purpose and not advertised as such", feel free to click on the image of the product to blow it up. It says right on the box "ideal for breastmilk storage" in the yellow section, second bullet point on the left hand side.

I got caught in the same trap; bought them for storage and was then surprised that there was 1) no seal, and 2) no instructions inside package of how you could store breastmilk in them (despite their "ideal" status). There wasn't even a mention of their storage system (which is how I assume you must use them for storage).

These bottle liners are pretty good. Obviously, they're not as quick and easy as the drop-in liners, but they get the job done. When we have the time to fix bottles the night before, we'll use these. I wouldn't attempt using them if you have a baby in your arms, though! They really do require two hands. We haven't experience any leakage so far (fingers crossed)! Overall, I would recommend.

I used this product years ago for my son and daughter. I just became a mom again and tried the drop-ins. After losing breastmilk from a leaking drop in several times, i switched back to the standard. These are great and a must for eliminating air from the bottle. The rim on the drop-in is too thin and it slides off causing it to come off the bottle as you try to eliminate air before feeding. Our little only only drinks 2 oz a feeding at this time. We don't need her taking in any extra air so the standard is by far the best out there.

I used these when my first was born 10 years ago. And again with the second. On my third who was born 10 months ago, first i tried the vent-air...too much gas and sometimes leaky...so we tried the drop ins because I couldnt find these liners at the store. The drop ins where awful. Everytime I tried to get the air out the drop ins would pop the seal and Id loose all my milk. found these online and ordered 8 boxes. LOVE them....they never leak when used right. The milk heats up fast and as far as getting formula in easy...put half the water in first to pop them open.

I don't quit understand the negative comments about not being able to store breat milk. These bags are not designed for or advertised as storage bags. They are convienent, disposable feeding bags plain and simple. They work well especially for late night feedings or when you are out and about running errands. I love that when I travel I only have to take one bottle and some liners.

These do work for storing break milk, however, you also have to purchase the breast milk storage kit to go along with these bags. The storage kit lets you pump right into the bag and refrigerate/freeze. [@]

These work great as a bottle liner for reducing the amount of air my baby gets and the bottle/nipple is the best!! (I wouldn't use any other bottle!) I was however very disappointed that you can not store breastmilk in them, since the bags don't seal. It was the reason I ordered these instead on the pre-formed drop-ins. (description and box both said for breastmilk storage) I'll have to order something else to store milk in.
