My daughter's formula contains rice starch to help with her spit up, so it's nearly impossible to dissolve it by shaking the bottle. This formula mixer does a great job. It gets everything dissolved. If you are fixing a full bottle I would suggest mixing it in a separate container. The force of the mixer causes some of the formula to spill out of the top of the bottle. It also isn't quite long enough to reach all the way to the bottom of the Drop-Ins that I use and it really goes through some batteries, but I just use rechargeable batteries. Considering the price and how well it works it is worth a few batteries.

This product may sometimes be overlooked because it's only [$] and it doesn't seem like one of the things you MUST have for a baby. But let me tell you, this is the BEST [$] I have ever spent! It makes fixing bottles a snap! No more clumps, no more clogged nipples, no more screaming baby because the nipple is clogged up and she can't get any milk! LOVE THIS PRODUCT!

This product is perfect for minimizing bubbles - esp with gassy babies as mine was. However, this brand was a waste of money for me. I have gone through 4 of these mixers (all 4 were purchased at the same time). Three only lasted for 1 day. Either I got a bad batch or this manufacturer needs to improve the motor - or design it so that the motor doesn't short when exposed to liquid!

The formula mixer really mixes up formula inside the bottle, and especially nice when cereal is added to the formula in the bottle. Its switch is what wears out-after lots of use. I have given it as a baby present, and the moms are thrilled.

My son had acid reflux and we had to start adding rice cereal to his formula and it would get all clumpy. I purchased this mixer and it gets the formula and rice nice and smooth..no clumps anymore :) Love it.
