I purchased this set for my three year old granddaughter and she loves it. The only problem we had was with the cutting wheel, as the playdough would stick in the grooves of the wheel and you either have to use a toothpick to get the playdough out or you have to wait until it hardens and try to clean it that way.

My son won't stop playing with this. The rollers and stamps are easy to clean, and are tough (they're wood). The doh was soft and not crumbly like play doh, its kind of silicone-like, which is nice. I do wish the box it came in had a lid, but otherwise the product is great.

stick with play doh stuff

Use with play doh. I expected more from a Melissa and Dough product. The rolling pins and stampers require you to press pretty hard to get the patterns to show up, same with the wheel. The patterns them selves are pretty boring considering you can get tons of molds and cutters from play doh at a fraction of the cost. The tablespoon full of "molding clay" that comes with this is cheap and crumbly and not even worth taking out of the tiny cups. My 3 year old gave up playing with this after about 10 minutes and went back to her play doh stuff. Save you're money.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
