My 8 year old is enjoying his new K'nex. He mostly tries to create his own vehicles or scultures rather than following the directions on how to make something in the guide/manual. Following those directions can be a bit complex for the eight year old.

Variety of pieces provide many different building possibilities: critters, vehicles, buildings, etc. The motor + compatibility to LEGO allow for increased enjoyment and entertainment. It's a great buy and I'm getting more for my nephew/nieces for Christmas.

GREAT deal. I have 5 boys, aged between 9 and 1. The 9, 7 and almost 4 year old really love these, so I actually bought 2 of these tubs. Really a steal! TONS of pieces, although some a really tiny, still useful and totally worth the money
