Description

Bring the Whole Family! Families with three young children will love Joovy's Big Caboose Stand-On Triple stroller - how else could one parent take three children out at once? The Big Caboose is easy to use and it includes two full size seats with canopies, two child trays and two foot rests - and your 3rd older child can ride on the patented rear platform. If you have multiple children, this will be the first stroller you will use that gives the child in the middle seat ample room. If the standing child tires, they can turn around and rest on the padded rear jump seat. This stroller also includes two universal car seat attachments that accommodate most of the major brands of car seats. The Big Caboose has a huge storage basket below and sealed bearing wheels to help you push heavy loads.

My youngest three are four and under and going on long walks, to the zoo, etc is sometimes too much for our four year old. This is perfect. The storage basket underneath is HUGE. Some things to note...
*you have to recline the back seat to put an infant carrier in that spot. That doesn't leave much head room for the child sitting on the sit/stand platform. My son sits there still with his head held out a bit. It looks uncomfy to me, but he doesn't mind.
*this thing is HUGE! Folded up, I can not get it into the trunk of my Dodge Durango with the third row set up. I have to either bungee it to the roof rack (which we do when my hubby comes with us) or I put it in the front passenger seat, which is not all that easy to do, but I don't take it with us all that often, and it's worth it.
*it's not very easy to turn

But, I would buy it again if given the choice. It's worth it to have another spot for a bigger kid when we go to places with lots of walking.

This product is aweful! Do not buy it! First, the wheel base on the stroller is so far apart, it is impossible to turn. My wrists actually started to hurt after using it and attempting to get it to turn. The older kid has to sit in the back, which they of course don't want to do because they want to see. Second, even folded it is SO long it wouldn't even fit length wise in the back of my Tahoe unless I had my back seats out, which isn't ideal. Also, the trays are hard to get on and off, which you have to take off the front one to get it to fit. Third, if you have twins and want to use the carseats, the child on the sit and stand seat can't sit because you have to recline the back seat to fit the carseat, taking away that little seat and they have to stand. Also the sit and stand seat is so close to the second seat that the child in back has to lean forward in the seat the whole time. Fourth, the stroller is really heavy.
This stroller was a total waste of money and I re-sold it right away and ended up finding a used Peg-Perego triple stroller on craigslist. It was way better and worth the money. The wheel base was right, they were the same distance apart as a double stroller, the back seat reclined all the way and the front two recline way more than any other multiple seat stroller. It was slightly harder to turn with my oldest in front, but very manageable. If I got tired I just made her sit in the back, which she didn't mind because then she could lay down all the way.
I have searched and bought several strollers and if you want a three seater the Peg-Perego is the way to go. I used it until my daughter was 5, and she still fit in it. The only reason I got rid of it was because once she started Kindergarten I did most of my errands while she was in school. On the weekends my husband and I just use a Double and Single.
Hope this was helpful! Just please DO NOT buy this stroller!! I am only giving it one star because I have to pick a star, but it deserves 0 stars!

Comments about Joovy Big Caboose Stand-On Tandem on Triple Stroller - Black:

This stroller serves it's purpose but it's difficult to maneuver. The handlebar is just as narrow as the stroller so it doesn't give you any momentum to turn it easily, the handlebar isn't adjustable to height either. The basket is long and is underneath but it's kinda hard to get to because of all the seats over it. The stand part is good for that and that only. If they sit, my 2 yr old for example is hunched over because the back of the other seat is encroaching in the space. You have to buy an additional holder for water bottles, etc. but when it's put on the bottle holders are right where you're arms are so it's uncomfortable. Don't bother with buying the extra seat for that stand area, it's such pain getting the kid in and out as they face forward!! And there's no leg room for them at all! Folds up nice but it doesn't fit width wise in our car and we have an Expedition EL!! It only fits the length of the car. To be honest, I wish I had gone with a side by side. It'd be perfect if they had a side by side with a stand platform in the back.

Comments about Joovy Big Caboose Stand-On Tandem on Triple Stroller - Black:

I have a three year old and am expecting twins. We bought a new Town and Country minivan last week, brought it home and tried to put this stroller in it only to find it just BARELY fits in the trunk of the van, and only if you slide it in one very particular way. Ironically, we did not bring the stroller van shopping with us because it did not fit into either of our sedans and honestly, it did not even occur to me that it wouldn't fit in a minivan! If this beast of a stroller barely fits in a minivan, I can't imagine how it could fit in any other vehicle. And when I have three kids with me, I certainly don't see myself being willing to take off wheels or parts just to put the darn thing in the trunk. We will likely return this stroller and go for a double stroller -- my three year old will just have to walk I guess.

Purchased the big caboose and totally regret every penny! It does not have a smooth ride to it at all! My kids are 5, 2 and 3 months. We've been having trouble with the front "foot rest" popping up and getting caught on my 2 year old's shoes or sandals and digging into his skin causing cuts and bruises. The brake locks don't stay on. There is no parent tray. You CAN order a little pouch for your keys and phone seperately on the manufacture website, but it doesn't hold much. I've pinched my fingers numerous times. The parent "handrest" is just a flimsy piece of coozy like material with very little padding so expect sore hands! If you have a baby in an infant carrier in the middle seat your older child on the bench will be sitting uncomfortably. It is VERY difficult to turn i'm 5'2 and hubby is 6ft and we both have trouble manuvering the turns, you litterally have to PICK it up with all two or three kids and turn it. Not recommended for small aisles in stores. Overall HORRID stroller. Don't waste your money on it!

All 3 of my kids fit (4,1&1/2, and 6 week old) BUT this stroller doesn't fold up well at all, I can't even fit it in my trunk! I don't even know what kind of car/suv can hold it, it would have to be a large suv with no 3rd row to accommodate this stroller. I'm really disappointed, paying so much for this you'd think it would have been built to fold up better to atleast fit standard vehicles. Not everyone with 3 cars drives a huge suv! I regretfully had to return it :(

It's one of those things that was designed and looked great on paper. It is comfortable and the twins ride is smooth, but our our 2.5 yr old boy can't really stand well on it while moving and can't sit without cramping his head in an awkward position. It may look good but its not functional for everyday use. Is not designed to fit in honda oddysey mini van, I think we only use it for around the block but would not dare take it on a trip.

When I found out number three was on her way I started researching triple strollers and was so happy to find Joovy's Big Caboose for three! This stroller has everything and more. First off it comes with two infant car seat adapters - not an extra purchase. It fits with my Chicco car seat and my daughter sits snug in her seat while the boys each have their own place to ride. I love the stadium seating so my son who sits in the rear seat is a bit higher and can look out over my infant daughter. Of course the best is left for my oldest who lives that he can sit or stand on the back platform bench. He LOVES this independence and ability to choose how he rides on the Caboose. This stroller is big but serves it's purpose and I am grateful!

Before I got this stroller I was carrying two carriers and having my toddler hold on to them as if he were helping. Truth be told I was working out without the gym equipment.I love the fact that the attachments are universal to other manufacters car seats. I have had it for a year now and it is still a life saver. The only drawback (literally) is the toddler seat on the back does not lock in place. Other than that it is definately worth the investment.

i have 1 year old twins and a 2 year old

pros- it fits all the kids, isn't too wide for doorways/aisles (although opening and pushing it through a door alone is an accomplishment)

cons- it's huge, heavy once everyone is in it making it hard to turn, the seat in the back for the 3rd child slides back when they're sitting in it, not compact when folded down (we have a 99 tahoe and it only fits diagonally)

overall i would reccommend this to someone in a similar situation to me simply because although theirs a lot of cons, theirs not a lot of other options and its better than dealing with the oldest while trying to push a double stroller. i don't think the quality is all that good so i would reccommend looking for it used rather than paying full price.

This is a great stroller. First of all. Disregard any review where someone complains about the size or the difficulty steering. This is a TRIPLE STROLLER. Of course it's going to be big. We have used this for our twins and 3 year old and it has worked great. Sure it's a little long but you know that when you buy it. You can't get a triple stroller that's not big. It doesn't turn on a time but this type of stroller doesn't need to. I gets around just fine. We have taken it to the mall to animal shows and we take it for walks all the time. I even took it on a gravel sidewalk and it pushed fine. If you are in the need for a stroller like this you can't go wrong. Is it big, yes, is it a little bulky, yes, but can you put 3 kids in it at the mall parking lot, YES.
