We have a ton of books that my son finds more interesting than the one this came with, but we bought this for the music player, NOT the book. It's perfect. Our 2-year old loves music and dancing, so we spent a lot of time looking for a digital music player for him for Christmas. Two months later and it's the only present that he still regularly uses. He walks around the house with it and takes it in the car whenever we drive out of town.

What I like about it:
* about 20 different songs
* the digital music player has a wheel on the front like an iPod so he can select a particular song
* the screen that would show the song's information on an iPod shows a particular image that matches each song. (Our son figured that out and how to select a particular song before I did)
* Good size for little hands
* It gets dropped a LOT and we haven't had any problems yet (knock wood).

Yes, it's all Sesame Street, but that and Sid the Science Kid are the extent of his product placement at this point. When we want to listen to something more, we put on Pandora, but this is perfect for our little one on his own.

My 21 month old LOVES ELMO!!! The book is nice for parents because it has the words for all of the songs (and there are many - so you don't have to listen to the same songs over and over) and the little MP3 player thrilled my son, who loves music as much as Elmo. One of the best features is the volume control. My only complaint is that the holder for the MP3 player doesn't stay attached to the book. This isn't a deal breaker. I bought this for travel, but the book is a little large, but good for toddlers.

My daughter is now 18 months and got this Music Player Book from her grandmother for Christmas. Not only does my daughter dance to the music (the volume control is great) she also pretends it's a phone. Of all the toys she owns this Music Player Book is one of her favorites.

My son loves to take this on road trips and on the bus. He is six years old with special needs and this toy is something he can do himself.

I bought this for my one year old daughter because she seemed to enjoy it at the store. She was about 13 months when she really started to getting the hang of it. Now I keep it in her diaper bag to pull out when we're waiting somewhere and it will keep her busy for quite a while. She will carry it around the house shuffling through the songs!
