    I'm not sure why the other reviewer had problems with this box. This toy box is excellent!! We don't have any problems with our lid...it closes safely and slowly avoiding pinching little fingers! Also it has cut out butterflies on each side for ventilation. We also have received many compliments on how pretty the colors are on it!

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    The toybox is very cute and solid construction. Our only issue with it is that the hinges on the lid are very weak and the lid often comes slamming down vs. slowly closing as it is supposed to. Our 1 year olds little fingers are not safe around it, so we put felt around all the edges in case it shuts on them.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
