Very nice camera...for a 5 yr old...this camera is nothing more than a cell phone camera built around a pink shell. thats not to say that it isnt PERFECT for little kids. My daughter loves taking pictures with it. of note is the video recording function...easily the camera's best feature. oh and it has a good amount of on board memory and an SD card slot. Feels well made and is easy for a 5 yr old to operate.

I absolutely loved the camera for about 6 months then one day it just stopped working. It wouldn't turn on and I have no clue what happened. It just locked up and when I got it shut off by taking out the batteries it never came back on. Since my daughter is six I will not purchase this one again but she did have a lot of fun with it while it lasted. Good luck but not sure I would recommend because I expected it to last longer for the price.

I have had it out with Fisher Price after my 2 1/2 year old daughter got their digital camera for Xmas... it has taken until now (Aug) to get a "voucher" for another FP item, buy and return of that said "item", and the purchase of this WONDERFUL Vtech camera! She has had it for a week and has taken well over 350 pictures without having drained the batteries. That was my problem with the FP one- didn't last through Xmas day (how sad). I bought a rechargable set for this camera, but I haven't even had to use that yet. It's easy for her little hands to hold an maneuver and she can understand a lot of its great features. I would recommend this one to anyone!

My daughter recieved this as a gift for her 6th birthday. I wish she would have gotten one sooner! She loves this thing!! The pictures are very easy to take... and kids can tweak them to make them funny, play games on the camera with them, and have control to delete or keep them. They can also take videos on this. she was very quick to figure out how to use it - and has even taught her 3-yr old brother how to play games with her on it.

I highly recommend this camera!!! Fun - and also VERY sturdy!!! It has taken some VERY big falls (we have the videos to prove it!)

I am pretty satisfied with this product. We previously had a Fisher Price camera for our daughter, and something happened and the screen that shows the picture got a black dot in the middle that would never go away. She loves taking pictures so much, we had to get another camera for her, but in reading the reviews on this website, we decided to get the Vtech version instead, even though it costs a little more. We got it for our daughters 3 year old bday, and even though we have to help her remember what some of the buttons do, she still understands enough to really enjoy taking pics with this camera. However, the other reviews made me think the batteries would last longer, and ours are still dying pretty quickly. Probably would be smart to invest in rechargeable batteries for this thing!
