Mario Party for the Nintendo DS offers a wide variety of mini-games featuring your favorite Nintendo characters. It is the eleventh installment in the Mario series of games, and it is the second edition for the Nintendo handheld system. There are over 70 mini-games and five new game boards to choose from.

Features and Accessories

The plant boss is the first new level in Mario party. The piranha plant sits at the end of the board, and he must be defeated before players can move on to the next level. You are invited to a party, and must make your way through the gardens to be the first to the finish line.

Up to four people can play at a time through the interactive game-sharing mode. Play against your friends or play the computer. You can also choose from several different skill levels, from young children to the most experienced adult. You can also save the game so you can come back and play where you left off.

Each level in Mario Party for the DS is more challenging than the last. Use the DS touch control to move you characters through each world and discover secrets along the way. Experience dual-screen challenges or choose from one of the many exciting modes including puzzle mode, extras mode and gallery mode.

When Mario and his friends are shrunk down for Mario Party DS, harmless locations take on menacing proportions in five game boards, such as Wiggler's Garden and Toadette's Music Room.

Features

Story Mode (1 Player): In this solo mode, Mario and his friends are shrunk down by Bowser. As players make their way to Browser's castle, they must win first place on each game board, then beat the Boss Minigame for each board.
Party Mode (1-4 Players): Compete against human or system-controlled players on a party board in a Battle Royale, Tag Battle or Duel Battle.
Minigame Mode (1-4 Players): Enjoy six games that draw upon the pool of 70+ minigames for challenges that don't take place on the game boards: Free Play, Step It Up, Battle Cup, Score Scuffle, Boss Bash and Rocket Rascals.

This is my favorite nintendo game. This is highly addictive and has a huge variaty of minigames to play. There is a story mode and a party mode in addition to the minigames and other minigames incorporating the minigames. You don't have to like Mario games to love this. This game will never get boring. There are also boss levesl. For young kids it might be difficult to complete the story mode, but it took me a while to beat it but it was still worth it. There are so many things to play on this it is so great. Just a tip, even if you are losing on the story mode, do not choose to start a new game of the story mode. It deleted my data and it was frustrating to redo it. If you are deciding to buy this game, you will love it and definatly buy it. There is an array of awards to win and everything. You do have to read in this game, and that could be bad for some little kids. You need to read some for the story mode, the store in the game, the instructions, and other things.

I like this game its fun but it is not challenging at all! Its sooo easy. I got this for christmas and I had all the mini games passed in like Jan. This would be good for younger children if they can read because you have to read to figure out how to play each mini game. But it was really fun before I got all the mini games passed.
