This desk was really easy to put together (although I'd use an elec screwdriver or drill). My 2.5 year old loves it, and uses it daily. We put it in the kitchen because it really doesn't take up too much floor space, but it does seem like it will work for a child up to about age 4/5. All of the storage is awesome, and the desk/easel combo works really well. It looks cute in our house too, because we always have the most recent work of art hanging on the easel. The back holders would be better if they weren't oepn in the bottom--you can still store paper back there, but it could fall out. Construction paper & coloring books stay put pretty well. Overall, a really great purchase that will get a lot of use over the years.

I was excited about this purchase but I'm not too sure we made the right decision. The construction is average and the clip that holds the paper doesn't hold the paper. The buckets/containers are useful and the size is perfect for my two year old. I think he's just a little young for it because he doesn't understand why we can't paint all the time...I think this is better suited for three and up....this gets three stars because of the clip issue and the easel part is cheaply constructed. Other than that...its a hit.

        the flexibility of this easel is great. perfect for the budding artist! Being able to store all your art supplies in one place is nice. The only thing I noticed is that the stool, being made of the same plastic as the easel is a bit slippery on the floor and sometimes difficult for the child to get on.
        I would suggest this to any grandparent as a perfect gift idea.

          My daughter received this as a Christmas gift (at my request) when she was 2 years old. She just turned 7 and we still use it every day! It went from being an arts and crafts center to being used for homework and even a snack table. Not a single thing has broken on it. When it is cleaned up it still looks brand new! But, after 5 years it is now becoming too small for my daughter. We will give it to one of the younger babies in the family and I have no doubt they will get just as much use and enjoyment out of it as we have!

                      Very cute, easy to put together, perfect for my 3 yo granddaughter. The only problem I had with it is that the company didn't put the needed screws into the box. Luckily here on Xmas eve night, I had some extras in the garage to put it together.

                      Love all the cubbies that came with it to store all her art supplies.

                          I purchased this product online for my 2 year old daughter for Christmas. Well Christmas Eve arrives and we decided instead of wrapping the big box we would assemble it and put all the Crayola products in it so it would be ready to go. The dry erase board was dented and scratched along with some broken pieces. I immediatly took it back to Toys R Us but they had no stock with in a 20 mile radius. This was the only gift I personally brought my little girl. So durablity not so great, can not attest to anything else.

                            My 2 1/2 yr old loves this!! He loves to draw and having his own art easel was a great idea. He will sit or stand there and draw for a long time. Have the 6 storage bins are great and the back for holding his paper and coloring books.
