These monitors are wonderful. You can hear a pin drop from upstairs to the basement. The quality is great. The sound is very clear - no static. I could hear my granddaughter blowing raspberries! And the price was affordable for everyone.

this monitor has decided to go crazy on us last night and now today I am off to find a new monitor. It has always been really staticy and giving off a lot of white noise, which I ususally overlooked. BUT for the last month it has been picking up other noises, like phone conversations and radio stations from who knows where. The first time I experienced this was when my husband was working at night and I heard a mans voice in my babies room, I jumped up so fast I almost hurt myself to see who it was...nobody was in there but her sleeping. I hate this monitor! DO NOT BUY IT< IT WILL ONLY GIVE YOU PROBLEMS & A HEART ATTACK!!!

I use this everyday and I have to have the monitor in a certain position or I get a static noise every couple of minutes. The battery is horrible also! I can't even have it unplugged for 45 minutes and it needs plugged back in. I'll never buy another one again!!

I bought this monitor for my daughter when she was born. We have used it everyday for the past 2 years so far without any complaints! The sound is great, reception is great, and you can take it outside and I can hear her crystal clear! The little nightlight feature is not necessary, but nice to make sure it is on without going into the room while she is sleeping. It also does NOT interfere with the other monitor that we have for my son in his room!
Love it and we are going to buy another one for our third baby!!!

We just bought this product because the name was reputable and we figured "a monitor is a monitor"- well not all monitors are created equal! One of the handsets we cant even get to turn on with brand new batteries and the other one is so staticy my husband couldn't hear me screaming through it! [...] What a waste of [$]

This works great in our home as we have a lot of electronics (my husband is a nerd!). There is no interference at all with our wireless networks and it works even with the base on the second floor and the receiver in the basement. By far the best one we tried!

Unfortuntely, if we weren't picking up a large amount of static we were picking up our neighbor's tv and background noise. I think I heard my neighbor's daughter more than mine. We would try moving the base and receiver to different positions in the room but nothing worked. For such an important product you would think Fisher Price would strive to have an excellent product.

worked great for a month. we loved how clear and loud it was. then one night we woke to our son screaming violently and our monitor never made a peep.We have tried everything to get it to work again and it wont.

Drives me crazy! Scares me to death in the middle of the night when it decides to go all Poltergiest! I agree with every review... the static is terrible. When I set my remote control down next to the receiver on my night stand, the monitor screeches and cracks. Or when I have my cell plugged in next to it, well, forget it. I've got one receiver that won't work plugged in, works only on batteries, which will die after about a week of only being used around 5 hours a night. The other one is shot. Oh, did I mention that my son is only 3 months old and has only been sleeping in his room for 2 months? So, needless to say, this hasn't lasted me very long. My advice, bite the bullet and spend the extra money. That's what I'm going to do. My baby is sleeping through the night now and I'm being kept awake by a stupid baby monitor!!! Go figure!

I had the 2006 model of this one and it was great! This year's model totally sucks! The cord is always loose on the BOTH monitors. I thought it was the first set I had, so I returned and got another one! No, it was still loose. A few times my girl was crying (then screaming!) and I didn't hear her b/c the lights were NOT flashing and b/c the cord was loose on the monitor. [...]Would NOT recommend this product at all!
