I really like how Dreft takes the stains out of my children's clothes but the smell can become a bit overpowering. Plus Dreft is so pricey-even when it's on sale. Pur ex came out with a new baby laundry soap and it smells amazing, works really well, and is so much cheaper. You can also use almost anything that's free and clear which I do a lot when I find anything on sale and have a coupon..because I LOVE to save money. So overall this is nice if you can afford it, but if you have a sensitive nose like I do, the smell may be too much for you and you may prefer a laundry detergent that is free and clear.

Everyone loves this product...except for me. I think the scent is too strong and the price is absurd! Most babies only wear something once or twice, so I don't think it's worth paying 4x as much for this detergent as other name brands, to preserve the quality of the clothing. I use Dynamo and Purex - both remove stains just as well as Dreft and don't have that overpowering scent. Babies are expensive enough. Don't waste your money on a [$] bottle of detergent.

Dreft is a little pricey but one of the only baby detergent products that I would trust. My family has been using it for years and they swear by it. We washed all the clothes that we got for our newborn before he was born and they came out nice and soft!

This detergent cleans baby clothes very well, but I don't like the scent. I switched to 'ALL' free and clear.

I love Dreft! I still use it on my 1 year old's clothing. Unfortunately its very expensive. I tryed the [...] Dreft and it works just as well, but not as expensive. Dreft its great if you have the money to buy it, but the [...] is best.

I used this 4 years ago when my oldest was born.
1). It is definitely not meant for use in high efficiency washers...mines a front loader and this makes way to many suds and i have extremely hard water which usually keeps detergents from sudsing. If I don't triple rinse you can see the suds left in the washer.
2). I also didn't really care for the smell or how it cleaned. I prefer ALL Baby. It is also not meant for high efficiency washers...but it smells better and cleans better.

Bottom Line: It's great for bubble baths if your child has sensitive skin. But if you have an HE washer like mine get Tide or Cheer Free and Clear and use one of the nice drier sheets for baby's that are available at BabiesRUs stores if you want the nice smell.
