Love this cradle! It was perfect. Only problem was finding a padding for the cradle. It came with a 1in pad but wasn't thick enough. Otherwise looks way more expensive then the price paid.

Went together easily enough and seems sturdy, however they do not provide any type of plug or cover for the screws and the large screw holes which against the espresso color show up as 4 large white unfinished holes on either end of the cradle. Went to store and bought dark stain to deminish the starkness somewhat.

This product looks very expensive for the price. I read many reviews before purchasing this product. The best advice is to purchase a separate pad for the cradle. I wouldn't let my baby sleep on the one that comes with it. It is paper thin. It does not come with plugs to cover up the screws which I think is a con. But, overall, I love it! It looks great in my room.

My husband just put the cradle together and it is absolutely beautiful! I fell in love with the bassinet at pottery barn kids but could not justify spending the money on something used a few months. I read reviews on this product and added it to my registry. The cradle is sturdy, easy to put together, easy to move and is quality. I agree with the other reviews that the mattress is thin. My family selected and purchased an upgraded mattress which has not arrived yet.

I did a lot of searching for a cradle and I am so glad that this is the one I purchased. It is beautiful! The wood is fine quality furniture wood, the carvings on the cradle are gorgeous, the cradle is sturdy, and looks just beautiful. Yes, the 1" pad is not a mattress, so we went onto [...] and purchased an 18" x 36" mattress for $20 and its perfect. The benefit of a cradle over a basinet is two-fold: one: it rocks, and two: it is larger, so you can keep baby in your bedroom longer. For my first baby, I used a basinet and she outgrew it so fast that I moved her to her room crib and found myself going back and forth between her room and mine and this time I thought I just needed a cradle size during her infancy stage. Yes, buy this cradle it is perfect!

My husband and I got the cradle and put it together immediately. The pad is thin, but we bought the 2 inch cradle mattress at Baby's R Us and it fit perfect. We got bumpers online and they also were a perfect fit. We bought the cradle sheets and they fit, also. We are giving it to our daughter for her first child. I did order a second set of rocking locks for stability when not rocking.

My husband and I put the cradle together for our daughter. The quality of the wood and details are beautiful. The mattress is thin, but I will up grade. For the price, we are delighted. The instructions for putting the cradle together are not very clear, be patient, it is worth it. Also, I will order 2 more of the rocker blockers for stability.

I thought that this cradle was beautiful, and it is, but it is so oversized that finding linens has been very hard. It says that it is 18x36, but both sets I've bought (which are the correct dimensions) do not fit it at all and the mattress pad I purchased seperately (also 18x36) is about an inch and a half to small lengthwise and an inch too small in width. I finally was able to find one company (Koala) that makes a sheet that fits the cradle, but I still have been unable to find a bumber that isn't far to short. Also, as others have mentioned, the stabilizers on the legs really don't work--we have to put books underneath in order to keep it from rocking. This cradle is rather worthless as a cradle since it is nearly as large as a crib; do yourself a favor and buy something less attractive and more pragmatic!
