This bed absolutely ROCKS! I'd always known throughout the years that there were beds out there shaped like a car, but once my now 3-year old blossomed into the classic "Cars" fanatic, I was thrilled to see that a model was made specifically to look like the movie's star, Lightening McQueen. A relative actually purchased this for my son as a Christmas gift so I cannot attest to price (since I did not pay) nor shipping or assembly, I can say, however, that the final product we now have in our home is great. It compliments well with the Cars room remodel we did for our son for a combined Christmas/3rd birthday gift, and he now once again enjoys sleeping in a room he was once afraid of for the last 3 or so months until we took out his crib and put his bed in. Now he falls asleep in his bed - no problem, sleeps all night, through the night - no problem, and feels comfy and like such a big boy. Couldn't be any happier unless this bed could actually drive us around! :) Looking forward to completing his Cars room with even more accessories to compliment this bed for his birthday next week. We just love it, so fun.

I bought this bed for my son who just turned 20 months. He loves cars. His father put this bed together in less than an hour. He used the springs from the crib and it was a perfect fit. My son jumped in the bed as soon as he was finished and slept in it the entire night.

Ordered bed on a Saturday AM, it came on Monday!! Super fast shipping :)
The assembly was very easy. It took my husband an hour or so. The plywood needed to be purchased was easy to fit. The bed is very sturdy. My son has never had one problem with the crib to bed transition. I know it was because he wanted and loves this bed :)

We love this bed, the hardest part about putting it together was the decals. It took twenty minutes to assemble, one hour to put decals in right place. Our son slept on it the first night with great excitement!! He loves his Lightening McQueen big boy bed. I would recommend this bed, the great thing is that we can lie in the bed with him too.

So I have been going to websites looking at this bed and picturing how nice it would look in our sons room. It is a bit pricy on other websites and for some reason in toysrus it was [$] and online [$], so they gave it to us for the online price, and lucky us it was the last one . The box is HUGE and my husband lugged it all the way to our house. So it was a pain to assemble but once we noticed you had to lay it on its side and push down to secure te screws it was cake. The decals were heckkkkkk such a pain, but I failed to read the directions stating to wet the surface first (makes sense). The only complaint for the price of the bed little tikes has some nerve not making the bottom to support a mattress, luckily I kept my krib bottom spring and it fit right in. Beautiful bed and the decals make it even nicer!

HI I am a dad of 3 boys age 6, 2 and 1 I love cars and so do my boys. My 6 and my 2 year old kids have the bed. My 6 year old is getting a little big for the bed but my 1 year old will take his bed. My 2 year old did not sleep in his room but when we got him this bed he started to sleep in his bed in his room! Long story short if your kids are like my kids get them this bed. p.s my 6 year old will be getting the bed in twin!

My in-laws purchased this bed for my son's second birthday. Because of previous reviews I wanted to make sure to allow time for a difficult assembly. My husband and I had it assembled and decaled in less than 2 hours. We did have to enlarge one of the holes to get the bed to fit together properly but all in all it was simple. I also was prepared to purchase the plywood for support from earlier postings. Would be nice to get a "complete" product. I did not like that we could not pick up in-store either. I am sure my son will love it though!

I ordered a cars bed 2 months ago... Still not here!!! I got it and the box had been through hell...missed my sons birthday beause I had to send it back for a replacement and a case manager was supposed to call me but blew me off. And after a week I finally got a email saying they gave me credit for my purchase when they were supposed to ship a new one back. I just need a bed for my son and shouldn't have to go through this. Everytime I speak to someone they say they note things down but everything always goes completely wrong!!!!
