The Britax Marathon Convertible Car Seat in Granite is perfect for parents who are looking for a rear- and forward-facing, harnessed car seat that can support up to 65 pounds. This Britax high-capacity convertible car seat can be used in rear-facing configuration for children from 5 to 35 pounds and in forward-facing configuration for children from 20 to 65 pounds, allowing your child to stay in a 5-point harness through the toddler years. The rear- and forward-facing recline options allow adjustment for child comfort and positioning.

Safety and peace of mind

Side-impact protection

Side-impact protection distributes crash forces, shields from vehicle intrusion and contains the head, neck and body. The energy-absorbing foam liner (EPS) also absorbs and distributes crash forces. High-density comfort foam provides an extra layer of padding to gently cushion your child.


LATCH connectors

The Britax Marathon Convertible Car Seat features premium, push-button lower LATCH connectors for a quick, simple and tight installation in LATCH-equipped vehicles.


HUGS

HUGS (Harness Ultra Guard System) reduces forward head movement and cushions the chest in the event of impact. The front harness adjuster provides effortless front adjustment when loosening the harness system. The convenient harness holders keep harness straps out of the way while you place your child in the car seat. The 5-point harness makes contact with the strongest parts of the body, and the plush, premium cover set with matching belly pad provides extra comfort.


Absorbs energy

Patented, energy-absorbing Versa-Tether with staged-release tether webbing anchors the top of the child seat at 2 points to minimize forward movement in a crash.


Efficient base

The Britax Marathon Convertible Car Seat has a small contoured base that ensures a tight installation in all types of vehicles. The energy-absorbing base deforms in the event of a crash to absorb impact forces.


Lock-offs

Built-in lock-offs secure the vehicle seat belt so that the child seat does not move more than 1 inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.

I love, love, love this car seat. My son is now 6 and 51 pounds and 52" tall. We used this seat uptil just 2 months ago. I definelty got my $'s worth out of it. we only stopped using it cause my sons friend came in the car with her booster and he wanted to sit in her seat or we would still be using it. I felt so safe with him in it. Now pregnant again I will use it again the cover is still in brand new shape so the only way we will replace it is if I have a girl but if its a boy I will give it a nice wash and a way we go. LOVE THIS SEAT,BEST MONEY I SPENT, AND THE LONGEST USED ITEM OUT OF EVERYTHING I BOUGHT FOR MY SON........... LOVE YOU BRITAX

I love this seat! My two year old loves it and falls asleep very comfortably without her head hanging down in her lap. We were recently in a car accident going about 50 mph when another car pulled out in front of us. We slammed into the other car and my husband and I got horrible whiplash, but my baby (aside from the emotional shock of the impact) was completely unharmed. I recommend this seat to everyone!

I bought this car seat when my daughter moved into a foreward facing car seat. She is now 4 1/2 and still riding in it. We travel cross country regularly by truck and I have never had any complaints. I also have a niece who always cried or complained when in her carseat. I put her in the marathon and drove to canada with no complaints whatsoever. The seat has held up extremely well, it is easy to care for, the cover is machine washable and comes out like new (I don't machine dry it). It is easy to install and has fit into every car or truck I have driven. I can't say enough about this, from a mom of a child that has ridden well over 200,000 miles in this seat.

Heard this product is top ten safety car seat for kids. It will last us for awhile, holds child up to 65lbs. It's easy to install and sturdy. My son loves the material on it, he feels like a king in it. Safe and reasonably priced.

My son seems to love it and so do we. It seems very safe and sturdy, which makes us feel better. I don't get the complaints that say the car seat is heavy. Of course it's heavy, it's a car seat. I have yet to find a car seat that isn't heavy. How often do you move it once it's in?

This car seat is very easy to install, fits my daughter well and is easy to get her in and out of. Way better than hauling around the carrier. With the new regulations of keeping kids rear facing until 2 now, that will not be an issue with this car seat. At first we didn't want to spend this much but when you check out the quality of others Britax is far better.

This seat ROCKS and it worth every penny! So easy to install (even non-LATCH in my '99 Passat), comfy for DD, easy to adjust, nice looking, etc. I could go on and on about this seat. It is so versitile with weight and height adjustments too. We have a Diplomat too, and while I like it a lot I would get another Marathon in a hearbeat!

My mother in law gave us this car seat for a shower gift, and at 5 months old my daughter was using it because she hated the infant seat. I have now been using it for almost 3 years and I absolutely love it. It is big and when she falls asleep her head doesn't slump over to the side because the head rest part is so big. I bought extra parts for the seat so that if she gets sick or has an accident, I can pull over and give her a clean and dry seat. The parts wash well and the seat still looks and feels like new. It is easy to install. The only thing it is lacking is a cup holder.

After a lot of research, this is the car seat I chose to have as a front facer. I'm very pleased with the construction, ease of installation and safety ratings. The instructions were very user friendly.
One of my favorite parts of the seat is the velcro on the straps to help them NOT get tangled up.
I'm very please with this product.

This seat is perfect for my 46 pound 3 year old. She fits comfortably and we wont have to buy another carseat since she can be in it up to 65 lbs. This is definitely made for a larger child. She loves it & is very comfortable sleeping in it on long trips.
