I started out using the Medela milk storage bags and thought they were just fine. They were a little rigid and didn't seem to stack well in the freezer, but I didn't pay it any mind.I bought some Lansinoh nursing pads that came with a few samples of their milk storage bags and decided to try them and was so pleased with how much better they worked for me. Since the bags are softer and more pliable, it made for easier stacking. I lay them on their side and squeeze the air out so that they are flat like a waterbed mattress and freeze them that way. Once they're frozen, I can stack them upright and they fit right up against each other very well. I went back and tried it with the Medela bags, since they are, in fact, a little heavier bag, but they wouldn't flatten very well which still left me with the stacking problem. The only time I've had leaks in my Lansinoh bags is when I've put the bag on the stove in a pot of water to thaw and let the bag sit in the pot and touch the sides too long~ it springs a leak that way. Now I know to hold the bag and swirl it around the same way as when I mix the milk in the bottles. Otherwise, I love these things and highly recommend them to save space. They also hold a little bit more milk than the Medela bags.

At first I loved these bags- I have over 50 bags of milk in my freezer. A couple of weeks ago I filled a bag with 4 oz of milk, set it down on the counter so I could fill 3 more. I look back and there is breastmilk all over my counter. I pick up the bag and it's leaking! It was completely sealed at the opening as there was no milk coming gout. It was right under the seal of the bag. I was pretty upset because by the time I noticed, I had lost over half an ounce of breastmilk, which as all mother's know, is liquid gold. I thought for sure it was my fault, so I poured the milk in a new bag, threw that one out, and moved on. This morning, I had 5 bottles of milk in my refrigerator to bag up and freeze from the past few days of pumping. The very first bag I used leaked another HALF OUNCE. The second bag I used started leaking, I found the source, and stopped it in time. I bagged both of those bottles, started a third and it was fine. I started bagging the fourth bottle and THAT LEAKED TOO. At this point I had had enough. I lost milk from 3 out of 5 bottles of breastmilk. I took out a whole new pack of bags and bagged the milk, checking each bag before use. I feel like I shouldn't need to make sure a BREASTMILK bag leaks before I put BREASTMILK in it!! That's the whole point! I'm more than upset that I've lost over an ounce of milk from these bags. I know it doesn't seem like that much, but when I'm only pumping 2 ounces from each breast, giving up a night feeding and giving formula so I can stockpile milk for my return to work, over an ounce is too much milk to lose. I'm very disappointed and I truly don't believe these storage bags are "the strongest breastmilk storage bags on the market." This bag was 6.5 ounces of milk originally, but I used 4 ounces of water to show. All of the other bags were 3-4 ounces. The video is using the bag I used for the milk, but with green food coloring and water to show where the leak is coming from and was on all of the bags.

DO NOT BUY THESE BAGS!!!

Comments about Lansinoh Laboratories Lansinoh Breast Milk Storage Bags - 50 Count:
These bags are horrible!!! They may say that they are new and improved, but they are not!! We all know how precious breast is, so do yourself a favor and buy a different brand storage bag!! This is my second child, so I have tried these bags before. They leaked when I defrosted them for my first child, but I thought I would try it again (they say new and improved). Every bag (and I do mean every bag) leaks when it is defrosted. I don't heat my milk up, I let it defrost in the refrigerator, and every bag leaks. I have to let these bags defrost into different containers, set up in my fridge, so that I can salvage what milk that I can. I never write reviews, but I am beyond frustrated. I want to let new mothers out there know, so they won't fall into the nightmare that I am currently in!!!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Love this! Not too big and great for storage. I was considering ziploc but this is worth the money and great price too.

I used these bags exclusively for my first baby and they were great. They switched the product a bit before my second baby. I worked to freeze over 1,000 ounces of breast milk to keep my baby exclusively breastfed for months after I finished nursing. I am now into my freezer stash and every single bag I defrost has a hole in it somewhere. I stored them exactly the same as I stored the bags with my first baby and I let them defrost on their own, never pull them apart. It is so disappointing to have worked so hard to produce that much milk and to see it go, literally, right down the drain as it defrosts. I am very upset by these bags. Everyone knows what tough work it is to freeze any milk, let alone, build up a stash for months to come, these are not the way to go. I wish there was something I could do.
If you don't mind spilt milk...

All these bags leak, so if you already put milk in them... Make sure to put in a glass to thaw so you don't lose you precious milk!!
Needs some work
With my first child I loved these storage bags! However 3 yrs later and a much larger supply I was less than impressed. I had a a surplus of milk. Probably 3 of every 4 ended up with the seam busted. I put 6 oz in every bag. When I put them in the fridge to thaw I would wake up to a puddle. If my supply had been lacking like with my first child I would have been ticked at that much wasted milk. So here I sit with around 200 frozen bags of milk that I have to cut the bag off of to them and put the milk in a bowl in order to thaw
I am so upset!!

The bags claim to be "the strongest on the market" but I have been mopping up puddles of milk from my fridge. All of the bags currently in the fridge are leaking from the bottom of the bags. It makes me sick to think that my milk is being wasted and contaminated. I will not by these again.
You get what you pay for I guess?

I was really excited about the new design with the reinforced sides but it's been a huge disappointment. In the box of 25 I'm currently working through I've had at least 5 bags leak out of the bottom left corner. Lansinoh claims that these are the strongest breastmilk storage bags on the market but I've also used kiinde and I've never had a problem with them leaking. I prefer the kiinde bags but lansinoh is much cheaper and easier to find but I guess you get what you pay for right?
I would buy this again
Easy to use, can freeze flat if you have the right setup
New design leaves milk on the floor
About Me First Time Parent, Parent of Two or More Children
I was so happy with these bags and purchased them exclusively. I pump at work and have a hard time making enough milk for my 7 mth old. The last box I purchased of the new design has been awful. Twice that I know of I've had a puddle of milk on the floor after pumping from a hole either in the seal of the bag or the bag itself. The top of the bag frequently rips when taking the safety seal off. I'm so disappointed....looks like I'm on a search for a new product to store milk in. :(
Must have for exclusive pumpinh
These are a life saver since I'm back at work exclusively pumping. Best functioning brand as well
