I started out using the Medela milk storage bags and thought they were just fine. They were a little rigid and didn't seem to stack well in the freezer, but I didn't pay it any mind.I bought some Lansinoh nursing pads that came with a few samples of their milk storage bags and decided to try them and was so pleased with how much better they worked for me. Since the bags are softer and more pliable, it made for easier stacking. I lay them on their side and squeeze the air out so that they are flat like a waterbed mattress and freeze them that way. Once they're frozen, I can stack them upright and they fit right up against each other very well. I went back and tried it with the Medela bags, since they are, in fact, a little heavier bag, but they wouldn't flatten very well which still left me with the stacking problem. The only time I've had leaks in my Lansinoh bags is when I've put the bag on the stove in a pot of water to thaw and let the bag sit in the pot and touch the sides too long~ it springs a leak that way. Now I know to hold the bag and swirl it around the same way as when I mix the milk in the bottles. Otherwise, I love these things and highly recommend them to save space. They also hold a little bit more milk than the Medela bags.

At first I loved these bags- I have over 50 bags of milk in my freezer. A couple of weeks ago I filled a bag with 4 oz of milk, set it down on the counter so I could fill 3 more. I look back and there is breastmilk all over my counter. I pick up the bag and it's leaking! It was completely sealed at the opening as there was no milk coming gout. It was right under the seal of the bag. I was pretty upset because by the time I noticed, I had lost over half an ounce of breastmilk, which as all mother's know, is liquid gold. I thought for sure it was my fault, so I poured the milk in a new bag, threw that one out, and moved on. This morning, I had 5 bottles of milk in my refrigerator to bag up and freeze from the past few days of pumping. The very first bag I used leaked another HALF OUNCE. The second bag I used started leaking, I found the source, and stopped it in time. I bagged both of those bottles, started a third and it was fine. I started bagging the fourth bottle and THAT LEAKED TOO. At this point I had had enough. I lost milk from 3 out of 5 bottles of breastmilk. I took out a whole new pack of bags and bagged the milk, checking each bag before use. I feel like I shouldn't need to make sure a BREASTMILK bag leaks before I put BREASTMILK in it!! That's the whole point! I'm more than upset that I've lost over an ounce of milk from these bags. I know it doesn't seem like that much, but when I'm only pumping 2 ounces from each breast, giving up a night feeding and giving formula so I can stockpile milk for my return to work, over an ounce is too much milk to lose. I'm very disappointed and I truly don't believe these storage bags are "the strongest breastmilk storage bags on the market." This bag was 6.5 ounces of milk originally, but I used 4 ounces of water to show. All of the other bags were 3-4 ounces. The video is using the bag I used for the milk, but with green food coloring and water to show where the leak is coming from and was on all of the bags.

Disappointed holes in bags
By The new mom
So disappointed. Never overfilled the bags and they had holes in them when I would thaw out breast milk. I started only putting like 3 ounces max in each bag because it happened so many times. I recommend Medela, yes more expensive but I never had problems with holes or leaking.
waste of money and milk

The milk storage bags "new and Improved" are awful! They are so thin, don't seal correctly at the edges and they leak! I cannot lay them flat for freezing and if I stand them up the edges of the frozen milk pierce the bag! UHG!!! As a working pumping mom these are such a waste of my time, money and milk!!! I bought them thinking I would save money from the Kiinde brand but I have to double bag and that's not savings! Going back to the Kiinde bags!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Very disappointed with these bags. I have a Medela pump but the bags are so expensive so I thought to purchase these ones and figured they would be comparable. I have lost 18 oz. of milk because of the construction of these bags. So far, 3 of them have had separation at the first zip lock seam and had allowed most, if not all, of the milk to escape the bag. Since they do not stand up 99% of the time, I have had two fridge disasters and one plastic bag mess. You would think after the 2nd time I would have learned. I follow the bag and only pump 6 oz. into it and I am still having the issue. For a full time working mother, 18 oz. is almost a full day of food and not something I want to just throw away.

I had to freeze and store all my breast milk for several weeks due to the fact that my baby was in the hospital and was not allowed to have any during that time. I used a lot of Lansinoh storage/freezer bags to save the milk for later. Now my baby is well again can have breast milk so I have started to defrost my rather large freezer supply on daily basis. To my shock it turned out that my refrigerator is getting more of the milk than my baby. Nearly every bag is leaking during the defrosting process. If the milk ends up outside the bag before consumption, this product fails to do the very thing it promises--to actually contain the breast milk. I could have bought ziplock bags for a fraction of the price I paid for Lansinoh. Perhaps it could have been mentioned on the box that this product does not work independently and that you have to observe the defrosting process carefully and be ready to transfer the contents of the bag to a different vessel before consumption. This is much more trouble than it is worth. The product should be recalled.

New bags are HORRIBLE!!!!!!

About Me Working Parent
I used the old style bags pumping for 15 months with my first baby and for the first month back to work with this baby with no issues or leaks ever. I was running out of bags so I ordered more and was surprised to see that the bags had changed. I used them for a mere 2 days, and today one sprung a leak in my cooler spilling precious milk everywhere. I have a low supply to begin with and am in tears over this. The new bags are cheap and horrible and I am so disappointed because the old bags were so good.
