The Summer Infant Three-Stage Reward Potty Trainer and Step Stool helps your child gain confidence and learn proper etiquette during his or her potty training years. The built-in lid teaches your child to put the seat down when he or she is finished, and a built-in toilet tissue dispenser rests conveniently at the side to help stop messes from happening. The wipe dispenser located at the back of the seat provides a handy way to keep messes small. Built-in handles on the sides of the seat give your child stability and confidence during his or her training years. The potty trainer then turns into a step stool to keep the training process going once the seat is no longer needed. Reward stickers are included so that your child will have incentive to do his or her best during the potty training years.

So far, my son (18 months) only uses it as a toy box and a seat. He hasn't gone "potty" in it yet. I'm really happy with the way it's built. It has held up to his rough play. And we love the idea that it can grow with him. Eventally, it will go on top of the real toilet. One thing I would have liked, is grip/feet because it slides away when he tries to sit on it. Could pose a problem later, when he actually decides to go potty in it.

My son just started going potty in this potty. When he stands and pee's, he obviously doesn't know how to aim, so his urine usually hits the wipe holder in the back. It leaks inside of there and goes straight down the little hole and to the bottom. When he sits and pees, he pees directly into the cup, but of course some gets on the seat. When I go to clean it, I find that the little that went on the seat leaked in the holes that are on the side of the cup under the seat and straight to the bottom.
So, beyond the fact that I have to wipe clean every part of the potty, everytime he goes, the very bottom piece is divided into little squares. So when I clean it, I have to tear the whole thing apart just to get the bottom clean because I have to clean every corner of every square!
I would not recommend this potty to anyone with a boy. I don't know how it would work with a girl, but I can imagine that it wouldn't be much different. This is one thing that with my next child we are getting rid of!

Comments about Summer Infant 3 Stage Reward Potty Trainer & Step Stool - Blue:

We had a hard time finding a small enough potty seat since now everyone waits until their kid is practically in college to potty train them. This seat works great if you take your time in the beginning to teach your son how to get on and off the seat and to tuck his weiner so it's not shooting out the underside of the seat cushion. People who are initially teaching their sons to stand to pee with small potty seat are just asking for problems. Common sense would say train them to sit.
It also works great in the back of my SUV as a travel potty

Comments about Summer Infant 3 Stage Reward Potty Trainer & Step Stool - Blue:

Don't waste your money on this product.
I eventually had to throw it away and just taught my son to sit on the toilet and push "it" down to wee, works way better.

The wee guard instead of letting the wee go into the collection bin carries it around the bottom of the seat and sometimes into the actual housing unit.

WORST part is I cleaned it after EVERY use, scrubbed the thing but as time went on I couldn't get rid of the wee smell. I scrubbed everything in the bathroom it just wouldn't go away. Then when cleaning it to give away I pushed down on the pad trying to clean the bottom of the seat and wee came out of the aeration hole on the bottom of the seat! So it had spent months collecting in the actual padded seat! Needless to say at that point it had to go in the trash.

        Such a waste.

Oh and not to forget, they made the seat hole really small so it wasn't comfortable for my son past the age of 2.

This design may work better for a girl but I would highly recommend never buying this product.

This potty was bought as a gift for my son. The splash guard broke the second time he used it. I have tried to glue it, with no luck. The pee seeps under the cushioned seat and leak under the pot. It makes a huge mess every time he tries to use it and it is not because of the broken splash guard! After buying a different kind for the house we have tried to use this one as the travel potty in the car, but it is not worth it. It is being hauled away with the trash! DO NOT BUY THIS POTTY!

We bought this potty for my two-year old son. We liked it at first, but not so much now. My son constantly has to tuck himself in when he sits down. When he pees, it travels down the splash guard, under the toilet ring to the back of the seat and sometimes even down under the collection pan. It is a pain to clean the underside of the seat with that ring underneath. The other day when I was cleaning the seat, I pushed down on the cushion and pee actually came out, which means it has soaked into the cushion! I usually clean it very well when he's done using it each time, so this just disgusted me. I am buying a different potty today.

This potty seat is very realistic..my daughter is 25 months and she love using it she feels she is big enough to use seat exactly like mommy..it almost like a real toilet seat, very easy cleanIng, easy to store, suits both boy or girl..a lil toilet paper roll area is very useful, seat is v comfortable my girl wouldnt mind sitting over it for long time even if she is waiting for urge....moreover if you wanna attach it to your toilet seat u can do by simply separate the stool with upper seat and clip the seat over your toilet seat which is very convenient to handle...and thirdly baby can use the stool too and you can also do your pedicure in the same stool ;) lol....

I got this potty for my 2 1/2 year old son and I am not happy with it. It is very poorly made. I've had to reglue the bottom of the seat where the splash guard goes on. The seat itself has a very small opening. So if my son goes poop in it, it gets all over the seat. For it not too he has to sit toward the front of the potty and it hurts his peesh. This was a very big waste of money!

I did not care for this potty one bit because of all the parts. When it needs to be cleaned, you have to clean the seat, the pot, take apart the bottom of the toliet which consist of 2 parts. After the first few times I took off the lid so that was one extra part we didnt have to deal with. This is cute but again just too many parts I recommend a potty training toliet that consist of 1 part!

My son picked this out and eventually (finally) decided to use it. He loves it but it is a pain in the butt. The ring on the bottom came unattached which means the wee wee guard does not stay on. My son needs the wee wee guard or it goes everywhere. My husband duct taped it to stay on but after a week it is already coming off. The pee leaks everywhere and you do need to clean it fronm top to bottom everytime they go on it. It has a great look and I loved the toilet paper and disposal wipes holders but the quality is too shoddy. I am buying a new one today because I have to.

My 2 year old has used this potty and we have not been happy with how it was designed. The soft seat ripped very early on. And somehow when my daughter pees, it travels under the toilet ring, past the collection pan and to the bottom of the seat. So we have to constantly wash the whole potty which is very cumbersome.
