I bought this truck for my boys over a year ago and they are still using it every day. It is definitely a favorite toy in our home. The truck is very sturdy and virtually indestructable! I love the fact that it comes with "firemen" which can be removed from their seats and played with seperatly. Overall great toy!

For a solid wood toy, this is a disappointment. It manages to be both clunky and insubstantial at the same time. The workmanship is mediocre and the design could be much better. I would prefer for the edges to be rounded a bit and the overall feel not so massive.

The picture did not show that it is a pull toy, and I would probably not have bought it, had I known. The pull at the end of the string is a 1 inch cube, and not easy for little hands to hold comfortably. The base of the ladder is not attached to the truck, so it comes off when you try to move the ladder.

You would be much better off with a wood toy from a different manufacturer, such as Plan, Haba, Brio, or Selecta. I have not been disappointed in any of those toys.
