This is my first set from the Invasion from Below wave of Hero Factory, and quite frankly, I'm very impressed! Hero Factory has gone to a new level this year, with minifigure sized heroes (similar to the Piraka, Visorak, and Barraki minfig waves from Bionicle). Now on to the review: Minifigure: Breez is a great mini figure for anyone's collection. She comes with the new hero armor, and a cool transparent chain/whip weapon. Her weapon is especially interesting, because up to now, I don't think there has ever been a chain in a transparent-orange color. Breez's helmet is also a great piece; its sleek design looks very cool on the mini fig. Flyer Beast: Flyer beast was very fun to build. He has some great parts, and the light blue bone pieces complement him nicely. His grabber claw arm works well. Flyer Beast's skeletal wings have a great range of motion: they can be folded up, put into diving/hovering poses, and stretched out so he looks like he's gliding. Flyer Beast also has great playability. His grabber-claw works smoothly, his mouth is easy to open, and, to top it all off, he has a brick attachment on his back, so Breez can hitch a ride! Overall, I'm very impressed with Flyer Beast vs. Breez. It comes with great parts, has great playability, and is very posable. I recommend this set to anyone that likes Hero Factory and the Invasion from Below wave!

good for a five year old to put together, pretty sturdy and fun to play with but my child got bored with it a little quicker than I would have liked

Comments about LEGO Hero Factory Flyer Beast vs. Breez (44020):
My boys use this toy as a villain and bad guy with their other Lego Sets. They will even take their mini figures and pretend they are flying on the Flyer Beast.

My son and husband love to put Lego sets together..., well together! This set was one they spent time on and he played with for a long time until he decided to take it apart and build setting else. There are small parts, very small, so if you have other little ones, keep a look out for them grabbing them and thinking they are candy and check your dust pan when you sweep!! Otherwise, we love Lego and will buy more in this series when and if they come out with more!

Great product, my child loved it and enjoyed building.
not bad... but...
this set us not bad for the price as you get quite allot of things and now i have all of the minifigs. the flyer beast itself is ok, but there are places that are blank, or just look wierd. overall i think that its alright but could be improved on if you are a moc make.

About Me Collector, Parent Of Two Or More Children, Working Parent
The Lego Hero Factory Flyer Beast is great fun to build and play with and it looks fabulous on display. I really like the overall look of the Flyer Beast. It has a trusty menacing presence. What may be my favorite feature is having Breez riding on the Flyer Beasts back. You can immediately see a story behind the model. This makes it easy to jump in and play out any number of stories the Flyer Beast inspires. My main focus is having models on display. And for that the Flyer Beast is simply gorgeous! If I could change anything right out of the box (or bag as it were) I would like the claw arm to be a little longer. As it is now it seems T-Rex esq. It is far too short to be effective in grabbing the heroes on the ground. The only other thing I would change is the 'hand' on the right arm. I really don't understand why they did not give the Flyer Beast something a little more monstrous than a hand. I think a clawed hand would have been more fitting. Overall the Flyer Beast is a great set and is great for play and display.
A beast worth wrangling
I have become a big fan of the new Lego Hero Factory: Invasion from Below series. The Flyer Beast continues to deliver the satisfiying building experience and great playability that I have come to expect from the series. The Flyer Beast has fun features like its gripping claw and the details like the radio tower turned improvised club and Breez riding on the beasts shoulders attempting to wrangle it with a chain really work well to make the Flyer Beast a very exciting piece to display. Even just standing on a shelf you can immediately see the story behind the model. I would have liked the claw arm to be a bit longer, as it seems the beast might have some trouble reaching and wouldbe heroes at ground level and I found it to be an odd choice to use a hand element from the larger scale Hero Factory models. For me this seems like an oversight on Lego's part, as I feel it detracts from the overall monstrousness of the model.Overall, the Flyer Beast is a great addition to the series and a wonderful model for display and play. The fact that it can be combined with the other beasts in the series to form a gigantic three-headed beast is also some very sweet icing for the cake.
I love the new Lego Hero Factory product line. I have built a number of the new sets in the series and have been very impressed with most of the models I have built. I primarily build models for display and one of my favorite things to do is to set up dynamic battle scenes; it is always impressive to have heroes and monsters battling it out on top of my dresser. The Flyer Beast is an absoluty beautify model with a very imposing presence. The black and yellow color scheme is very atractive and I love that I don't have to apply any stickers thanks to the preprinted tampos. I think it was a great idea to have a spot to mount Breez on the back of the Beast to allow a solid fitting so she can wrangle this menacing beast. That said, I was not so impressed by the claw hand, as it seems a little clumsy in gripping a hapless hero who has been cought off-guard. I also think it would benefit from a longer arm, as it is just a little to stumpy to get a good reach at Heros that are scampering around on the ground. Another gripe is the hand that holds the broken radio tower. While it serves the purpose of holding this improvised cudgel, it offers very little flexibility if you should forgo the antenna for a different weapon, say perhaps, even simply having it's own claws, the options seem limited. Overall I am very pleased with this Lego set and I egerly await more sets from the Invasion from Below series. Making the Heros into mini-figures was a master stroke on Lego's part and I hope that they keep up the good work ^_^

This was my second set I got this year from Hero Factory. (Stormer Freeze Machine first) I like the poison claws and sanpping jaws. I also like the flapping wings. I like the yellow, azure, and black color combo! A very good set! By the way, he's holding an antenna!
