Little Noses

I recently got this on a cyber sale at fifty percent off, so I purchased 2 so my mother would have her own set as well. It has several useful products and even at it's full price, it's still a great value, especially for those who need a good starter medicine kit. You would easily spend a lot more purchasing some of these products separately. The nail clippers are pretty basic, the nasal aspirator is average, and the medicine dropper is useful and always needed. Note that the newer kits don't have a baby magazine or a teether, just the items that are listed in the details. It's a good kit, but it can be better and there are a few reasons why I didn't give this a 5 star rating.

First, the packagine is WAY too big for what comes in it and it's a complete waste of platic. It can be a bit misleading to those who don't pay attention and expect more than what they are getting. By today's standards, the packaging should be a lot smaller, but there are those who will be happy to use the case for other things and who have the space to store it. Second, this kit includes a nasal decongestant that can only be used on children 2yrs old and up. This is a huge waste unless you have an older child b/c all the other items are meant for infants and smaller babies and by the time your baby could use it, it would have already expired. They really should have included the Little Fevers acetaminophen (tynenol) instead- now that would have made far more sense in this kit. Lastly, the expiration date on the outer packaging is a bit misleading. Each item has it's own expiration date and in the kits I got, they varied btwn a few months to an entire year per kit, so some of the items won't last as long as you'd expect so pls double check.

Overall, I think this is a good kit and like I said, if they would have included the Little Fevers infant acetaminophen, this kit would be just about perfect. So if you're on the hunt for a good starter kit, this is one of the better ones. It's good gift to give to new moms and perfect to add on your baby registry too!

The products in here are great! I use all of them!! HOWEVER, I received this 4 years ago for my first child and the suitcase was full. I recently purchased it and what a scam. The suitcase is more than 3/4 empty but with elusive packaging it looks full. It is great to have just in case but watch the experiation date. Maybe they could use less plastic (save the environment) or put more things in it.

    I bought this for myself while expecting and have bought every expectant parent one since. It is an awesome medicine starter kit. The only thing it is missing is a medicine for fever. The nasal aspirator isn't very effective but the medicine makes it worth the buy especially when it is on sale for %50 off

          This is a great mixture of necessities for the first year. However, the pictures posted on Babies R Us' website shows the 4oz size of most of the items. It does not list the actual fl. oz of each item in the description, but they are FAR less than the full sizes that are pictured. Here is the breakdown that is included:

          - Gripe Water 2.0oz
          - Little Colds Baby Rub 1.0oz
          - Saline 1/2oz
          - Gas Relief Drops 1/2oz
          - Decongestant 1/2oz
          - Teething Gel 0.33oz

          If I had not gotten this item during their 50% off (and BOGO 50% off) sale, I'd be extremely disappointed based on the assumptions that were made from the pictures on the BBRU website!

              This kit is full of useful stuff for when your wee one is sick. I wish it included some infant acetaminophen. I ended up purchasing it myself, but it really should have been included. The box is way too big for the number of products included and I ended up throwing it away because it arrived partially damaged.

                I love this set. It saved me from late-night drug store runs. I used the gas drops and gripe water many times and will keep using them. I gave the product 4 stars because I feel like it misses teething pills. But again you can always buy them separately;)))

                  When we got this, it had mixed reviews but I am SO glad that we bought it anyway! Having this on hand saves you from having to run out when the baby isn't feeling well. This pack has been a lifesaver at times. Our little one is 4 months old now and we've used everything in here, with the exception of the decongestant drops since they look like they are for ages 2 years old and up. We started using the nasal aspirator at about 3 weeks. This was the only one that would fit in those tiny nostrils and also had enough suction to pull stuff out. We use it daily & have only had to use something else when the baby had a bad cold with a lot of thick mucus. The saline drops & chest rub were so helpful during that cold though. The gas drops and gripe water are excellent. The gas drops help keep the baby from getting gassy & to burp easier while the gripe water helps get rid of gas and move things through. It really has been one of the best things we bought and I would recommend every parent have it on hand when they bring the baby home. I even bought one of these for my mom so she would have everything on hand when we're over there too. Excellent pack!

                      I really like the packaging and think this is a great concept but the kit is missing "little fevers" I had to go out and buy it seperatly. Also the plunger doesn't come apart for cleaning so I'd ask for an extra syringe next time you go to the doctors because those come apart. Over all this is a good deal because going out and buying all those items individually would cost more than the kit that's for sure!

                          This has been one of the most useful "must haves" I received before my son was born. At 9 weeks we've used every infant product in it and I'm sure we'll use the rest of them as he gets older. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it doesn't have the Little Fevers product in it, which I bought after he got his 2 month immunizations. Each of these products is between $6-8 each individually so to get them all for such a great prlce is a fantastic deal. This one really is a must have.
