Comments about Joovy Kooper Stroller - Red:

After much debate and research, and going back and forth, we opted for the Joovy Kooper when we got rid of our Chicco travel system. [...] I was able to put it together BY MYSELF (no tools or husband necessary) in less than 10 minutes. It is extremely sturdy, not wobbly at all. The sunshade is ridiculously huge...can't wait to use it if the sun ever comes out here (middle of winter in Chicago!), and it retracts in stages so you don't have to have it ALL the way forward if you don't want to. There is actually a suspension in the back wheels, which we were pleasantly surprised to find once we got the stroller, as I didn't recall seeing that in any of the descriptions [...]. There are also 2 mesh pockets on the inside of the stroller so baby can keep a small item or two there, another pleasant surprise. The fabric is thick and sturdy and the straps are easy to adjust and buckle. I found you can also briefly push the stroller with one hand and have it go in a straight line, which is often hard to do w/ these types of strollers. I am 5'2" and my husband is 5'8", so the kicking the wheels doesn't seem to be a problem for us, as I've seen with some other reviews. I had my diaperbag and purse both hanging from the handles and the stroller was just as sturdy and straight. It folds relatively easily and while on the heavy side, it's much less awkward to hoist into an SUV than the full size stroller we had. There are a couple of minor drawbacks, and you have to decide how important these are to you (obviously, they weren't deal-killers for us): 1. As with any umbrella-type stroller, you lose the capacity to use the stroller as your personal cupholder/bag holder/general dumping ground for coats etc. when you're at the mall with the family. The cupholders are a tad small (on the back of the sunshade), but they do adequately fit baby's bottle (we use a wide neck bottle) or a 16oz bottle of water. I think they'll be better used to hold keys/cell phone/snacks so it's not really a complaint. 2. The footrest does not go up and down, as it does with the Keekaroo Karoo (another stroller we researched). This may bother some babies but not others. Ours seems to be just fine in it. 3. The footbrakes take some getting used to. They're a little stiff, but they do work just fine. It is nice that you can just do one side and both wheels brake. Same with unlocking the wheels. Overall, we're very pleased with this product and are glad we purchased it! If anything changes we'll update again.

Just what I wanted for my Baby
By Malea's Mom from Carson on 12/11/2009
Pros:
Comfortable, Easily Stowed, Easy To Maneuver, Easy to Set Up, Lightweight, Smooth Ride, Stylish
Cons:
Small Basket
Best Uses:
Infants, Toddlers
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Joovy Kooper Stroller - Red:

I like it, because it's in between the standard and umbrella stroller. Light and not bulky. I like the reclining position. I can change her diaper anywhere by reclining the seat all the way down. That way she can also sleep in it. Another great thing about the stroller is the sun canopy. It's big enough to cover the baby from the sun or strong wind. The pockets on the side of the seat is cool too. I can put her bib, bottle or pacifier. Easy to maneuver.

I only wish this stroller has a bigger basket. But overall I am very satisfied. My baby is comfortable enough everytime we go out. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Comments about Joovy Kooper Stroller - Red:

I'm a first time mom and wanted a stroller that was easy to manuever without being bulky like a travel system. We saw this in the store and loved it immediately. You can "drive" it with one hand, folds quickly, has a great color, nice storage underneath, comfortable handles, and its nice and narrow in the front (which is a must when trying to manueuver a stroller through store aisles). The only negative, in my opinion, is that it doesn't have a "snack tray", but overall, I love it..

Comments about Joovy Kooper Stroller - Red:

I traded in our cheap umbrella stroller for this one because I wanted something more comfortable. This is a strong stroller that carries up to 50 pounds. It's stylish and I like all the little pockets. It's easy to fold up and very easy to move around. The only thing I miss about the smaller umbrella stroller is that the Joovy is not as light weight. It's a pretty sturdy fold up stroller, and that being said, weighs more. But we love it! Just bought it, so we shall see how durable it is over the years.

Comments about Joovy Kooper Stroller - Red:

I am embarrassed to say that this is my FOURTH stroller since my 15 month old was born. I had an nice travel system that was great, but took up the whole trunk of our CRV and was almost 30 pounds (not something you want to use several times a day). I had a decent umbrella style stroller (around $60) that was too short (I'm 5'6"), had no storage, and I kept kicking the wheels when I walked. I have a jogging stroller that works great for working out or off-roading, but is huge and not practicle for daily use.

I looked everywhere and did lots of research to make sure this will be our final stroller. I tried one out in store at BRUS and fell in love.

One great pro is that it folds down small with the seat on the inside of the fold so it doesn't get dirty (unlike my jogger that gets dirt all over the seat because of the wheels)

All in all, a great stroller that I would buy again and again!

Comments about Joovy Kooper Stroller - Red:

Just a heads up; we didn't purchase this stroller from BRU nor its website, I actually bought this directly from the manufacturer.

We took a huge leap of faith purchasing this stroller without having ever testing one in-store. The stores in our local area doesn't have them on the selling floors and the nearest one that does is 45 miles away!

We received this stroller this morning; it took less than 5 minutes to remove it from the box and 'snap' on the wheels! My 8 month old son loves Elmo and this stroller immediately caught his attention!!!

Its a perfect stroller for city-dwellers and those who drive compact vehicles. This stroller has the compatibility of an umbrella yet the functionality of a full sized one. The handle bars are just right for someone of my stature (5') and I don't need both hands to place the unit into the trunk of my vehicle. I don't mind the size of the basket; I hardly used it on my snap and go! I also have a BOB and I can't stand its bulk. And I've had a Peg Perego Pramette and didn't like the amount of space it took anywhere.

I like the fact that the Joovy Kooper is a unit that my son actually likes being strapped to as well as easy identification at an airport conveyor belt. It doesn't take up much space in the limited trunk area nor much effort to put it together. Bottom line: its a well made, attractive, eye catching stroller.

The only con; the fabric cannot be taken off to be placed in the wash. Because of that, I've sprayed mine with scotch guard for extra protection.

Comments about Joovy Kooper Stroller - Red:

This is the best umbrella stroller out there. It is a few pounds more than most(about 3 lbs more than a maclaren triumph, I believe), but it is so worth it for all the additional features. It also does not fold quite as compactly, unless you take the front wheels off, which pop off so easy it is a breeze to do(we packed two of these strollers for our vaction plus everything else in the trunk of our car), so that if need be it can be smaller, but for the most part I never take the wheels off, because it is still pretty compact. It has great one hand recline, and I can change my kids diaper so easy in this stroller and he is already 35 inches and 32 lbs, at only 20 months old. It is great for older kids, my 4 yo rides comfortably with room to grow, unlike the mac, which has a higher weight limit, but her head is already almost completely above the headrest on the mac. This stroller manuvers so well, and gives a smooth ride. It is easy for my kids to climb in and out of themselves, and it is sturdy and does not tip easily like other umbrella strollers. It has two nice parent cup holders, and two mesh pockets in the seat, where my kids keep their sippy cups and snacks and stuffed animals. It has a wide roomy seat, and my kids love this stroller. The sun canopy is great and provided full coverage in the hot sun while we were on vacation, and the kids love to pull it down for privacy too. Oh and the basket underneath is a nice size as well. I fit my purse and two sweatsuits and a jacket for myslef under there and then a ball the kids got on the boardwalk. Overall, I would say it is the perfect umbrella stroller!

Comments about Joovy Kooper Stroller - Red:

I came across this product when researching "umbrella" strollers to replace my big bulky travel system stroller (which rides great but is a pain to get in the trunk and to deal with at the airport). My pain goals was to find a stroller with an adequate sun shade, multiple positions for reclining and a more compact fold than the travel system. I LOVE the Joovy. I actually bought it off the manufacturer's website (it was a better deal) but tried it out at Babies R US and fell in love with it even more. We just used it for a trip to Chicago and found it easy to manuever in the airport and the city (even w/ a quick fold up to ride on the EL). My son enjoyed it immensely - I love the pockets on the inside and outside, the cup holders work fine for water or soda bottles and the basket isn't as large as my Snap and Go but definitely adequate (I fit a picnic blanket, a jacket for me and my son and the diaper bag in there). So far, I am thrilled with the purchase and wish I hadn't bought a travel system to begin with. The other incredible part was that it arrived nearly fully assembled - all you have to do is snap on the wheels and the sunshade.

*As far as one review saying the front wheels come off easily - these wheels "snap" in and only come off when you push the release button. We removed them twice in the airport (for gate check and security) but have not had any problems with them releasing either in the trunk or while walking.

Comments about Joovy Kooper Stroller - Red:

This is a great stroller in terms of size (folds up nice and small and has a latch to keep it folded)and maneuverability (due to its shape, it's easier in stores and for going through doors than my Bob jogging stroller).

I still use my Bob for heavy-duty walking but the Joovy is made well enough to withstand the uneven pavement of Chicago sidewalks (though, it is a bit of a bumpy ride for my son compared to the Bob).

I really like the big zippered compartment to keep my wallet/sunlasses/etc. and the cupholders (although they really should be called 'water-bottle holders').

Oh, and I love that you can easily recline the back of the stroller when my son is napping and that it has a great sun shade!!

Overall, I am extremely glad I got this and would recommend it to anyone!
