My son is below average in reading in his K-5 class and he needs as much practice as he can possibly get. He loves the Cars characters, and anything that will get him to practice reading is a HUGE THUMBS UP! My son is very interested and happy with both the reading of the story, and the interactive reading activities in the back of the book. PLEASE NOTE: PREVIOUS 1-STAR REVIEW that stated 'pen was missing' are wrong... separate purchase of reading pen is required. [...]

The book is OK, but the pen was missing. I am stuck with a useless book now. Unfortunately I tore off the receipt and threw it away when I opened the box. It didn't cross my mind to make sure the pen was inside the covers. The book was intended for a Christmas gift. I found out the pen was missing when the little boy opened the gift. I felt bad and am dissapointed :-(
